McCann thinks this is total war

People who quote foreign Languages and then fail to offer the simple Courtesy of translating them, just so that they can put on Scholarly Airs, ought be disemboweled and boiled in oil. :)

No, it's OK: I added a Smiley Face. I don't really mean it...as far as you know. :)

Ellway Aidsay.

It was all-out war the second the appeal ruling came down. But McCann is very careful in how he words things, and I think that's a good thing. One of him is 1000x better than all the sensationalist, bombastic d-bags that planet earth has to offer.
I think we've hoped it was all put war, but until this filing it has seemed like there was a chance Brady would lettle or essentially to be forced to settle against his better judgment.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but under the league's legal theory they should be allowed to accuse any player of anything and the player should have no recourse or defense. They could decide to accuse Aaron Rodgers of money racketeering or pedophilia and demand his computers and phones, and any attempt to assert his privacy would be used to prove his guilt.

Not to get too mushy about what is in reality a back alley, bare knuckles fight, but, yes, in many ways the Patriots are standing up for the rights of players across the NFL and getting hammered left and right for it. That's why I admire a guy like Cromartie for stepping up for Brady this week. He knows what is at stake. It's shocking, actually, that nearly every other high profile player has stayed on the sidelines while Brady fights for their rights.

I'm afraid that, for me, Robert Kraft's defining moment, despite all that he has done to build this Franchise from a laughingstock, will be his backing down in May because he failed to realize that the situation called for him to "become the enemy of the rest of...[the Owners]."

It's nice that Bob has subsequently acknowledged his mistake, but the words of Neville Chamberlain on the day when Great Britain inevitably went to war with Germany bear a striking resemblance to Kraft's "apology": "Everything that I have worked for, everything that I have hoped for, everything that I have believed in during my public life has crashed into ruins. There is only one thing left for me to do: that is devote what strength and power I have to forwarding the victory of the cause for which we have sacrificed so much."

We're still waiting to see whether that was more than words, Mr. Kraft. Not much from the Owners' Box so far, I'm afraid.

I hope he hasn't become the enemy of the rest of the owners. I'd personally like to see him considered as the leader of 24 of the owners.

I hate all this lawyer BS. They should resolve this in the Thunderdome! Two men enter, one man leaves!

patriae is fatherland or country...amans means loving I think...delenda est means must be destroyed

haven't thought of the dead language in 30 years...jeez

I used Volin... I mean Google: amans patriae delenda est = Patriots destroyed.

Rather odd thing to say at the beginning of an owners meeting.o_O

We know they wont break the rules...

I saw the smiley face :)

I am surprised by stories of witnesses next week. But I'm not afraid. There is nothing to be afraid OF.

I am confident that of there was something - it would have been said to Wells and the Independant One would have been ALL over it. In the 0.001% chance the McN/J duo are summoned to court and say something inflammatory - so be it. I want the truth.

I'd prefer a Xiaolin Showdown.

So is there any way this can all be resolved to where the Pats are going to be allowed to compete again on a level playing field?

Is there anything in the league rules against retribution by the league? What is to keep the league from finding more punishable offenses against the Pats?

If Brady wins and Goodell is not removed, or is replaced by someone else who is not impartial or hostile to the Pats, how will we get a fair shake?

Is there an end game where Brady, BB, and the Pats are made whole?

Take it with a nugget of salt. Only Sal/ESPN reporting this? Who leaked? Why?

Regarding McCann's citing the NFL filing : “evidence of McNally’s demands for cash, clothing and autographed items from Brady, some of which Brady provided.”

I know that McNally requested autographs, jerseys and other bling, but cash? Where does that come from? Was that in the Wells report?
