Don't listen, listen, believe, don't believe. Down side, upside..............etc.
I think I'll go fishing 'til the 19th. Way more productive, for me anyway.

So don't listen to it.

But then how will people make a weekly post about how bad ESPN/WEEI/WFAN or whatever is?

Next you're going to say that we shouldn't bother reading obvious trolls like Mr. Curly Haired BF or Borges. C'mon, I've got to mine my internet rage from SOMEWHERE

This guy sucks ass... BUT LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT WHAT HE SAID!!!

Here's a link for you to click on:

I recommend music, books, learn a language
1) Obtain mobile device and install podcast app
2) Download almost unlimited content (sports or otherwise) via home/work wifi
3) Never listen to SportsHub/EEI ever again

No because I live in Southern RI.. their signal does not reach here.
Presuming Southern RI has cell towers, obtain smart phone with data plan and install internet radio app, problem solved.

Its sad, I know, but I grew up listening to sports radio and its part of my life. I live and die Boston sports. I started listening to the sports huddle on Sunday nights w my father in the early 80s...
It's an addiction. I know its bad for me. I know its gonna make my blood boil. I know I'm being trolled...but I still listen...
If f&m piss me off too much I can tune in d&h. By the way weei has picked up a ton of new listeners in afternoons. Folks are growing tired of f&m incessant trolling and poking the local fanbase....interested to see the latest ratings
Heck I also listened to 890, 1510...

R.e. sports talk radio...anyone old enough to remember the sports huddle w Eddie andelman will recall the days when sports radio was fun & not filled with trolls and contrarians....Eddie, mark, and jim actually liked and rooted for the home teams....
Eddie Andelma ...hell, I rember Guy Manella, not to mention Bob Lobel!

With Bob Lobel and Upton Bell.

Ah, a simpler time.
If memory serves, Upton Bell steadfastly claimed that a 24-hour all sports station would never work. He said "There's only so much you can talk about last night's game, what are you going to talk about the remaining 23 1/2 hours of the day?" or some other nonsense.

Let the record show we've spent almost 7 months talking about something that happened during the AFCCG. :D

Good take ......
It was fun and entertaining when the trolls were the callers ..........

I hated Upton Bell! Guy Manella was great, a smart, thoughtful guy. He wouldn't have a chance today.

Wasn't Norm Reche on that show as well?

Upton Bell would be considered a homer in today's BSM.

the only show worth tuning into is weei 2 to 6pm. the rest is absolute garbage. i cant listen to Tanguay for more than a second or two without my head exploding. why they put him on is beyond me. I miss gresh. him and zo really clicked.

There are many reasons to complain about the current state of sports radio but them not discussing the preseason isn't one of them. I can't stand the preseason. I know it's good for teams to look at all the players and get into regular season gear but it is boring to me and I don't really wanna talk much about it. I'll just be happy if brady wins his case and then the media can go find its next sports story to cling onto.

IMO the mighty have fallen when we lived in NW Maine early 2000's had minimal choices.. no sports talk. It was refreshing to come back for a few days, and as soon as we hit 495S could pick up WEEI.. even Glenn Ordway made sense in those days.

Perhaps it is the influence of social media and the need to be liked on that barometer, but it seems to be getting worse each trying to out do the other rather than just discuss sports.. between calling a baiting Jim Kravitz to minimizing any callers point of view it is morphing into fan bashing and self aggrandizing for the hosts. In their quest to be "edgy" they forgot their basic mission, to talk about sports..
