TY Hilton agrees to a 5 year 65 million extension

God himself could come down and play WR and I wouldn't want to pay him 13 mil. Not only is it stupid, in and of itself, think about what it sets up down the road from other players on the team. If we suddenly paid JE 13 mil, what would Collins say when it was his tturn?
I suppose that could happen during the games in London, but the PC crowd in the US would insist that if a diety did play in the NFL, it would have to be a non Judeo-Christian god. I think that, given his great speed, Mercury (Hermes) would be a excellent choice. I'm pretty sure he wasn't invited to the combine, but sources say BB was moderately impressed with his 3 cone time in a private workout.

Wow. Talk about different organizational philosophies...

Indy's philosophy for the last 15 years has been to put up as many eye popping stats on offense as possible by having a great QB and investing tons of draft and salary cap capital into skill positions surrounding him.

The culture there is all about glorifying the QB position and getting thw drooling idiots of Indy to keep buying tickets so they can see lots of touchdowns.

This is exactly how they ran their team during Manning's years, it's as if they care more about being able to claim their QB is #1 because of OMG stats than actually being the #1 team

Teams paying this kind of money for WRs are betting that the salary cap will be increasing significantly in the near term. They just might be right.

On the other hand, if you can't stop the run, it likely won't make any difference.

There are only a handful of game changing WRs worth that kind of money, and TY is not one of those receivers.

Yeah probably. He's a steal. As for Hilton? Nice payday. Who do we have that's going to stick him one on one now that Arrington is gone?

I wouldnt cover him man on man, not even with Revis. Id keep McCourty over the top of him pretty much all game and use an average CB to jam him at the LOS

Great player but overpaid in my opinion.

He signed that without wearing a mask. Amazing. Suck For Luck!

His stats in the first three years are as good as have ever been posted by a receiver.

But then the Colts have never understood that it's about being able to stop the other team every once in a while as well.

The more they pay him, the less they have to sign any decent defensive players.

I like TY's Twitter picture of himself in the AFC title game

You don't pay a speed receiver huge money in the NFL. He falls in that Mike Wallace, Pierre Garcon, DeSean Jackson, etc... group. You pay the physical outside WR big money because they can move the chains. This is too much money for Hilton. He should be paid in Edelman territory not in the Dez/DT group.

This dumb GM's not only do a bad job on their clubs but they also screw with the market. This will create some collateral effects in future negotiations.

Not to mention keeping Luck's AAV under $30 million/per.
