I understand why they let him go, but, yeah, that sucks.

Praying for the guy, and breaux as well. Met him while he was on the Ticats for the CFL. If anyone doesn't know he broke his neck in his last high school game, and has battled back.

Yikes ! Might have to change our team name to the New Orleans Flys :(

These preseason games can be dangerous with cheap shots as some of the scrubs play a little more reckless as they are trying make a statement. Hope Browner is ok!

Short preseason when you play in the Superbowl.. always seems a high incidence or injury during the next season, this is of course anecdotal.. but.

Yikes, that sucks big time. I hope he's okay.

damn, loved me some browner.
never forget that huge hit against the chargers. also jamming kearse which allowed butler to pick off wilson!:D

I was at that game, on the other side of the stadium, in the midst of a pretty loud crowd, and I still heard that hit and the echo. It was easily the loudest hit I've ever heard in person.

Anyone got a video link to the Browner injury?

Just heard on the radio that it's not thought to be a serious injury.

http://www.nola.com/saints/index.ssf/2015/08/new_orleans_saints_cornerback_54.html says:

Cornerback Brandon Browner was carted off the field after an apparent leg injury on a goal-line play on the first series of the game. Browner was hit in the leg by teammate Hau'oli Kikaha, who was diving to make a tackle on fourth-and-goal at the 1 on Baltimore's opening drive.

Browner left the field on his own with a limp, was attended to by athletic trainers on the sideline and then was carted off a few minutes later.

Hopefully they were just being extra careful.

He said on his Twitter its not too bad, he took a helmet to the knee. Originally he had walked off the field and stood on the sidelines and they sent the cart to bring him to the locker room after. So probably not terrible.

We had 7 players injured in this stupid game, 4 of them (Browner, Breaux, Ellerbe and Ingram) starters or key players. And the Ravens first team kicked the crap out us, and Rob Ryan's dumbass zero blitzed on a 4th and 20 at the end of the game leaving three receivers wide open, and they scored the winning touchdown with 3 seconds left. Banner night all the way around. LOL
