Courtroom sketch artist blames Pats fans for "Hateful....cyber-bullying"

Didn't someone here write that she should stop drinking on the job and seek help? Maybe that's what she meant by cyberbulling. :p

If she is being cyberbullied I must say that's totally uncalled for. I hope all who have actually "cyberbullied" her are brought to justice.

Kinda sad if anyone's actually getting upset that their favorite QB got drawn badly. But somehow I think she's calling emails like "hey nice drawing haha" cyberbullying.

She's lucky she doesn't make drawings for Brazilian courts/teams.

all kidding aside, sending a personal attack directly to her is pretty awful, but rather than focusing on the negative, she could have chosen a more positive statement (like all the fun that people had using her drawing).

I think the drawing and her internal psyche about how she feels about Brady/Pats has been confirmed.

Is " My 3 year old draws better than you" considered cyberbullying?

That's exactly what I was thinking...big difference between BULLYING and TEASING. One is said in jest...the other is said just for the sake of being cruel to someone

This is Bullying:

"Oh look. Now you crying about people making fun of you. LOL You're such a worthless piece of sh*** I hope you die someday."

....and this is Teasing:
"Greg Underwood ‏@amiabledunce 1m1 minute ago
@shalisemyoung Do you think a GofundMe for art classes would make her feel better?"

See the difference? :D

If she's just reacting to criticism to the sketch, she should suck it up, but if anyone is harassing or threatening her over a silly drawing then that is completely unacceptable and needs to stop immediately.

She seemed to start out that way but as the day wore on I think she got more sensitive. In addition to emails, she was getting hounded by the media for interviews. I think she got overwhelmed and clearly the message was "why do you suck at your job?"

If she wasn't on Facebook or twitter, how'd she know? I would be shocked if she was being emailed directly by strangers (but can't refute that either).

If it's reporters asking her questions, how does she then blame Patriot fans? Still, I could see that someone being thrown into the media frenzy being uncomfortable and saying/doing the wrong thing. I mean, even TB got thrown off his game at the press conference where he was ambushed by the media and he's far more used to being out in front of them.

For crying out loud — this tweet and the comments prove beyond a doubt that people will believe what they want to believe. If anyone truly bullied this woman, shame on them. But I suspect it's more a case of someone who did a very crappy job at work being overwhelmed by global criticism. Victim act well played.

I think its hilarious, the people putting Her brady drawing in other things like the famous "scream" painting made me chortle heartily.

She's an artist who put her work into the public domain. The standards for art and theater critics in New York are pretty rough. So, if people are telling her in colorful terms that they don't like her work, she should just get out of the kitchen if she can't take the heat. I mean, really, some of the critics who write for the New York papers are brutal. In addition, she brought a lot of this on herself by saying Brady was paying attention to his cell phone (which I don't think he could have had in the courtroom anyway).

If people are threatening her or writing obscenities to her, that's another matter and she should not have to tolerate that.

But telling someone that you think your three year old could do a better job is not "cyberbullying." By the standards of NY critics, it's actually a mild criticism.

For the record, I originally didn't like her drawings, but, as I look at them, I actually think she captures the mood Brady was in yesterday. Angry. Somber. That's certainly what I felt in the few seconds that I saw him up close as he was getting into his vehicle. By all reports his demeanor in the courtroom was, I should be with my teammates getting ready for a game, not here arguing about some made-up nonsense. On looking at those pictures, I think she captures that.

Her e-mail address was publicized I believe, and some people are nuts, nasty, and feel braver than they are when they hide behind a computer. I don't doubt she got some cyber-bully e-mails. She should change her e-mail address and try to do a better job next time. It makes me mad, however, when she (or the media) says "Patriots Fans" are cyber-bullying her, like we are all doing it. She should say "nut jobs" are cyberbullying her and turn any real bad ones over to the police.

Bullygate 2.0? Lol why did they send hatemail? The sketch was epicly bad in a hilarious way.

America got to love it. You put out a likeness no better than a 4th grader and cry bullying when we laugh at it.

She probably got a ribbon in every art contest she entered as a kid and thinks she can draw. No one told her every kid gets a ribbon.

Friends were calling her and showing her the memes and comments on social media. She also said she'd gotten emails.
