This is probably irrelevant but can we figure out who told Mort to leak his report to begin with?

The total lack of any denial by Kensil or by the NFL to Dennis pointing the finger at Kensil shows that Kensil was indeed Mort's source, and that very likely Kensil went to Mort, not the other way around.

This whole scandal would all be worth it if Idiotdell and the league office testifies under oath and perjure themselves and gets put in jail. It would also be nice to hear what the Dorito dinks have to say under oath too.

That seemed to be the road Berman was going down yesterday.

Is the Wells report a solid foundation to support the suspension?

Hate to read tea leaves but seemed he was more interested yesterday in justice and not due process.

Could be, but I see it differently : I believe Judge Berman was acting more like a mediator yesterday, in order for both parties to move toward a settlement.

Before the hearing, the NFL position was that a settlement would have to include an admission of guilt from Brady (and/or an admission to the Wells' report findings). Judge Berman was briefed before the hearings, and I assume the NFL let him know that it was part of their settlement offer to the NFLPA. Then, during the hearing, Berman attacked the Wells report, to let the NFL know that the Wells report and/or admission of guilt is not a reasonable request for any settlement to happen.

If there is no settlement, I believe Berman will rule based on the due process, not if justice was served during the arbitration process.

All I care about is this Quote:

"Is there a text in which Mr. Brady instructs someone to put a needle in a football? No there is not such direct evidence."

This was said in a court of law. The NFL admitted in a court of law stating they have NO evidence proving Brady was involved in any "Scheme" to deflate footballs. Even if Brady loses this and has to serve 4 games, I will bring this quote up to any moron than calls Brady and the Patriots cheaters. It was said in A COURT OF LAW !!

As far as tabloids go, OK! Magazine is near the bottom of the barrel. At least from what I looked up. Sounds like they are correct about 20% of the time.

Yes, at 20% they're the NYT of pop culture entertainment mags

They were in a hearing in a court building not in an actual court room in an actual trial.

It was before a judge. That's all that matters. And believe it or not, the court of public opinion (the media) noticed that quote too.

Just went to Judge Berman's courtroom. Was told to leave -- there's a private settlement conference going on in the NFL-Brady case.
Settle for a fine and no games, no admission of guilt. I think that is a good way to put this behind and get on with the season. If a couple people say "he's guilty!" because he takes a fine then BFD. Besides it makes the NFL look perhaps worse than attempting to take it all the way.

But that is it. Concede no more.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the NFL’s settlement position prior to Wednesday entailed Brady and the NFL agreeing to a laundry list of concessions regarding the Wells report and the NFL’s authority to suspend Brady and other players for conduct detrimental to the league and obstructing a league investigation.
How embarrassing it is for the league . they dont want to do the right thing but want to assert their arrogance . this is like stasiland , out in the open.

Was that a dig at Wells comment about , " in my 40 years of law I never "?????

I can't imagine otherwise.

Michael McCann isn't a bullshitter, he is Sports Illustrated's legal analyst. Now obviously he is just relaying another attorney's opinion. But I'd take an attorney's opinion over some of the chicken littles and trolls that have posted in this thread about how they think this is gonna go.

Yup. McCann's hearsay is more sound than a knowledge claim by almost any other media member.

Are you serious or joking? You really think you can erase data from your electronic devices by a simple software on that same device? Lol.
You have quipped my interest about what people really know about electronic data memory. You have no idea what we can retrieve from the memory of a printer let alone a working cell phone with memory flash.

Sure, but the context wasn't the investigation, it was Tom's marriage. How often do spouses restore deleted information from each other's phones?
