When I saw the title, the first thing I thought is that, for even money, I'd rather have Edelman.@AdamSchefter: Colts gave WR T.Y. Hilton a five-year, $65 million deal, per source.
Edelman: 4 years 19 million
Hilton: 5 years 65 million

or if you can't stop the run, better be able to strike quick.Teams paying this kind of money for WRs are betting that the salary cap will be increasing significantly in the near term. They just might be right.
On the other hand, if you can't stop the run, it likely won't make any difference.
Can you believe, that Edelman could've been signed by any other team, for cheap. The Pats didn't even seem like they want to sign him.Rough Numbers:
Scott Chandler - 2.6 mil per year
Brandon Lafell - 3 mil per year
D. Amendola - 4.2 mil per year
J. Edelman - 4.2 mil per year
------------------------------------------
Total 14 mil per year
T.Y Hilton 13 mil per year.
What the hell.

I know JE11 is already signed and everything, but shouldn't a 100+ reception 1,000+ yard, superbowl-winning-catching, ultra-reliable, Brady's-guy, play-anywhere, best-punt-returner-almost-ever, ultra-competitive, touch-down-throwing, chip-in-at-DB, team-guy player be paid a bit more?
