ESPN ranks Tom Brady as the top-ranked "villain" in Sports

Can't wait for the "Ray Rice and Adrian Petersen tied for first in ESPN's NFL Heroes" piece.

Tomorrow maybe?..."they are SO energized by Adrian Petersen's presence!! Gaa Gaa Goony!!!"- just now, by Tony Dungheap in the preseason game...krist...so transparent.

That's too much reality for people, so we pretend that real villainy doesn't happen, and hate Tom because there's such a thing as `too awesome.`

Of all women beaters, child beaters, drunk driving assholes, rapists, sex offenders, PED users, suspected murderers and gang affiliated players actively playing in professional sports, surely the #1 villain is Tom Brady, the guy who's being accused of deflating footballs despite zero evidence & playing better with properly inflating ones to finish the game + winning a SuperBowl vs the #1 defense of the decade.

Thanks ESPN.

Exceptionally Stupid Pr*cks Network.

Did you hear the announces during the hall of fame game?

They went down the entire timeline of Peterson's court case and right after saying he was arrested for child abuse and beating his kid with a switch, they said how he's a shoe in for the hall of fame and that hes a great guy and learned from his mistake

then they went into deflategate lol

Nothing to see here folks, he just beat his kid bloody with a switch.. lets focus back on that monster Brady

We once admired honest, hard working people who became successful, especially those that do it with great character and humility.

Now we **** on them out of jealousy. Our society is ****ed!

espn will give peterson the espy for courage!
rice gets comeback player of the year..

that network is terrible.

He's a villain for these reasons:

1. He's a perennial winner
2. He's better looking than most guys
3. He's married to the world's top supermodel

Not to get too off the rails here, but this is what's wrong with the new America, where success is no longer admired but reviled because of simple jealousy. Americans applaud the mediocre and try to tear down the exceptional.

Maybe if we took time to be inspired by greatness rather than turned off by it, we'd be doing better as a people.

Yup...Brady IS the all time scum of the earth alright....thank God for Roger Goodell and his Holy Rodent Empire...

ESPN lost me when they came out with their "Cold Pizza" show.. I realized then it was not my demographic and they sold their soul to the likes of "The Enquirer" or "The Globe" as each host tried to one up the other, each being louder and more outrageous.....

Since then probably have not watched any of them for more than 10 minutes total.. once and a while will small segments of PTI.. but other than that just another bunch of loud mouths fighting for face time and social media recognition..

It's so strange to me why Brady is so hated. What has he done to deserve this label? I don't see anything. He's arrogant? How so? It must just be the jealousy effect. Good looking, supermodel wife, winner, rich. I've read comments like "He's the scum of the earth!!". Are we talking about the same guy here? Because what I see is a guy who is humble when, if anyone deserves the right not to be, it's him.

To me it's like if people said "That John Ritter is blood-sucking scum!!!". I don't know why but it does frustrate me even though I try to "embrace the hate". I really don't see what others are seeing.

Im not even going to make a joke of this. This is all dumb. Leave the guy alone already. All because of delfated balls his name is getting crapped on. Its honestly ******ed. He's had his personal life thrown out to the media, now there's reports his marriage is on the rocks. Its all bull ****.

He's never been arrested, never been accused of doing drugs, he's kept a clean image, thats getting ruined because the big guys in the NFL are incompetent.

Yeah, that's what I got from actually READING it.

It was one of the most complimentary pieces possible.

They basically listed all the ways Brady has dominated the NFL and life in general.

One might do well to actually READ it before going off on it.

(For those that are actually paying attention, Hannah Storm was the ESPN employee most deserving of our wrath today).

READ IT? As in actually read an Espn article? Ha ha ha. I laugh at thee.

I can't even figure out how this article gets posted here. Why the hell are any of you still visiting ESPN?

As far as I am concerned, ESPN is on blackout. I don't even know they are there.

• Brady is the premier player on a team perceived by many NFL observers to operate on the fringes of fair play -- if not in outright defiance of the rulebook at times. He currently faces a four-game suspension over the Deflategate scandal.

Where does this idea come from? How does NE operate on the "fringes of fair play"?

People hate Tom and the Pats because they win. Period.

They're a bunch of mostly incompetent former jocks and media hacks.
