anyone know when the transcript will be released?

whenever the court reporter gets done with editing it - should be released soon!

I thought it was interesting Berman berated the NFL saying the Wells Report was only about the game on January 18. Goodell's appeal ruling was that it was a scheme, seemly over several games of ball deflation.

On the other side, the league argued that when it came to disciplinary matters, the NFL and Goodell were well within their rights to handle it as they saw fit. (Nash invoked the Ray Rice incident as proof that the league has authority in these matters.) By the tone of the discussion, it appeared that Berman showed some level of understanding when it came to the league’s case — specific as it relates to discipline — but at the same time, there was little direct evidence that Brady did something wrong.
They quoted the 2 game punishment they gave to Ray rice as an example ?

I think that was a big point. Especially since all the texts are from many months before.

Except the Jets game txts. Which were about the footballs being way over 12.5

Dont see goodell settling. He has nothing to gain by settling UNLESS some owners now call him now to ask him to settle.
Interesting to see how the judge rules. rich eisen pointed out an interesting case where the judge forced tommy lee to settle only to tell later he would ruled in his favor , although a completely differencce case since there is no jury.

"After a brief public appearance before judge Richard M. Berman, during which Berman questioned the NFL’s evidence and Brady’s reluctance to cooperate, the two sides and Berman adjourned separately to a private area to talk about the case more and possible options, including assigning a mediator to adjudicate a settlement to avoid the judge making a decision on his own on Brady’s four-game suspension."

I'm going to guess Brady is a lot more amenable to that than Goodell.

And she blasted him afterward as being out of it and not caring?

What an ingrate.

So she did a hatchet job on Brady to make him look bad in the public eye and when asked about it she made some further damaging statements about Brady's character

Is she related to godell?

A mediator to adjudicate a settlement ? Or a neutral arbitrator? So maybe the judge doesnt want to rule in NFL's favor because of the horsecrap case it has ?

a mediator cannot issue a binding ruling. he/she will just get the sides to settle.

The only settlement I see is Brady taking a fine and that is it. MAYBE Brady ends up taking a game because of lack of cooperation but there is no way in hell Goodell backs down. He has been digging his heels in since day one.

Right now Goodell is starting to remind me of the black knight from monty python.

I don't think he could have had a phone. The reporters phones were confiscated. That's why they could not live tweet. (Stephen Brown was tweeting from the media room.) They wouldn't allow the participants to have a phone in the courtroom! Also, if Brady had been checking the phone, Berman would have called him on it.

In that courthouse, with few exceptions, the Marshals make you check your phone at the entrance

NECN says Brady was stoic throughout even when the courtroom was laughing. He looked straight ahead or down at the desk. Game face?

Brady seemed miserable throughout a hearing lasting more than an hour in Manhattan federal court. He didn't join the laughter of lawyers at several points, and slumped in his chair and kept his head lowered throughout the hearing.

Those moments included when Judge Richard Berman said he would ''take exception'' to an NFL players union lawyer's assertion that Brady's life is much different than their own lives. The lawyer was referring to Brady's need to destroy and change cell phones to protect his privacy.

Are they still in there? Dear God.
