Interesting that NFL Insiders is not leading with the biggest story in the country.

But Brady's apology to the "great" peyton manning is third on the rundown.

Problem is without a deal even when Brady wins in court here, NFL can appeal etc... does not necessarily end this.

I don't think they will appeal when they lose. I think a lot of the owners are fed up with this. Also an appeal could give the NFLPA more power on other issues.

I wouldn't be suprised if the NFL capitulates soon and agrees to a settlement of a small fine.

How am I incorrect that he may ultimately decide deflation happened and that it is in the NFL's purview to make such decisions? He asked if there was evidence, and there was not. But that doesn't mean the procedural issues are swept away.

Especially if he believes deflation happened.

Especially if he believes that Brady as the QB was not being honest when he said he didn't notice the deflation. Berman stated flat out that it s inexplicable that Brady didn't notice the deflation.

You tell me what that means to you.

You are incorrect because of exactly what I said. The procedurals don't make a damn bit of difference if there is nothing to proceed against.. And it was PLAINLY clear in his questioning that he doesn't believe there was any evidence for the procedure to move forward. Hence his question.

And your categorically wrong. Berman did NOT say that it was "inexplicable that Brady didn't notice the deflation. What he said was, "Would be hard to imagine a QB…(not knowing a ball is deflated). He’s the one who throws the ball." What Berman failed to take into consideration is how numb a player's hand gets and the fact that players have said the balls get hard in the cold. That would off-set attempts to feel any difference in ball pressure.. Not to mention less than a lb in most cases..

So, you chose to ignore the fact that Berman followed up directly with "Turns out Mr. Brady did better with higher inflated balls than underinflated balls. You might say he got no competitive advantage" The unsaid thing here is "why would Brady want something that didn't give him a competitive advantage?"..

From the tenor of this AM's reports, this looks like it's going to be a win but, to my mind, an ugly win. Like all ugly wins, better a win than not. But it leaves me wanting more.
There will be a settlement. Dont want to speculate what the judge might order behind closed doors.

What apology is this?

In one of Brady's email, Brady said Manning had 1-2 years left and he (brady) had 7-8 years left (playing football). Brady apologized via text to Manning.

Watching NFL* Live right now and their legal guy says Judge will rule for NFL* in the end.

one and done said Brady texted him and apologized and it wasn't necessary and he has been roasted before and that wasn't a roast.

Hope it was something like, "sorry the email got out. How do you like my new ring?"

Honestly? If this continues to go badly and the Judge has to rule and he rules in favor of Brady, I believe the owners will step in and prevent Goodell from appealing it.
