.@AdamSchefter and Sall said "Berman told the NFL that they better come to grips that a settlement in favor of the NFLPA is very possible"

The guys at patriots planet were following the hearing via tweet. Good stuff!!
You can read more at this link. It appears that Brady had a good day in court. I'm not ready to get excited yet.

Mods if this has already been posted somewhere, please merge. I didn't see another thread anywhere about this.

if so this is great news but i hope goodell is arrogant enough go say "no thanks.". NFL may be thinking of an appeal and they have to have an adverse ruling by judge berman for that.

@KevinRDuffy @DandCShow And with that the NFL and Goodell need to settle. QUICKLY.

**** NO! Goodell and the NFL had a chance to settle. "We have no plans to reduce suspension."

Brady's got the NFL by the balls now. No settlement other than full exoneration and a public apology by the NFL. And a Goodell resignation to top it off.

The NFL isn't settling unless a whole bunch of owners tell Scumbag to settle or else.

The big enchilada is sitting there for slimebag Goodell. He can see it, he cane taste it!! Just think, a judge could rule Goodell can decide these things 'any way he wants regardless of obvious weaknesses in his decision process (a.k.a. lacking fairness)'. This would be a win for dirtbag Goodell that would be akin to the night of the long knives moment or him. He ain't giving up on that kind of prize so easily.

In addition to arrogance, I think we have to account for the possibility that Goodell would rather hold fast and lose than settle. If Goodell feels secure enough in his job, he might not care about being 0 for 5 in court when he's already 0 for 4. At this point, he's still established that you're going to have to sue your way to federal court just to get your case heard.

I would love for this strategy to backfire if it's ruled that, like in Missouri, he also can't arbitrate cases re: NFL discipline in NY. It'll take a while, but maybe he'll run out of states eventually. I'd think it would mean more in NY, since it would be easy for any player to sue in NY based on the NFL league office being based there.

This video basically says the Judge today tried to poke holes in the arguments of BOTH sides
to hopefully make both side fearful that he might rule against them in order to motivate them
to settle. I mentioned this in another thread. The judge also cautioned not to read too much into his questions.

I believe, when it come to the 19th hearing he will make his ruling on CBA procedural violations ONLY!
He did it or didn't do it won't matter on the 19th.

NFL has no incentive to settle except to save face. They are shameless anyway. So they will take a chance the judge gives deference to arbitration. They know brady has most to gain/lose in this. I also hope some owners call and ask the NFL WTF is going on.

Exclusive videos of Berman private meetings pressuring the NFL and Brady to settle.

Worked long and hard to get this inside info, first the brutal interrogation of Brady.

The Berman Goodell exchange:

Goody should have tried to diss Berman. :D
