Official Brady vs. NFL Federal Court 8/12 Thread (LIVE UPDATES)

Iam curious what false leak the NFL will spread after today. That brady admitted to berman something ? or some other crap.

I am interested in hearing what strengths Judge Berman thinks the NFL has in regards to their case.

Article 46 of the CBA.

I would assume their strength lies in the ridiculous concessions the PA made giving RG God-like powers.

The Players Association didn't give RG "god-like powers" Article 46 has been part of the CBA since the 60's. It's only been since the ego-maniac Goodell took charge that it's been an issue.. This has been pointed out by several people over the course of this and it's about time people start remembering it.

Well that was short and sweet, back to square one.

Brady should say "I will accept the Wells report as a contrived bunch of biased, irresponsible conclusions designed to find evidence of impropriety that was t there. And I will settle if Rodger Goodell agrees to make a statement saying that this matter and spygate was all a set up concocted by the Jets and their ex employees to embarrass the Patriots. "

I'm thinking Goodell has some type of Napoleon complex and this courthouse might have to be renamed to Waterloo after 9/4 (if not sooner).

If there was any chance of a settlement, it would've happened already

It's a two-step process.

1. Establish that there's no hope of a final settlement.
2. Try instead for a settlement on neutral arbitration.

Yup. The players didn't have free agency--because the CBA says they don't get it!--until they sued successfully in court. This is how the NFLPA wins the battles that it wins. They'll never win much at the negotiating table, since the players they represent can't withstand a sustained work stoppage like the owners can (and everyone knows that). The biggest concessions that they win come in court, after the NFL has ridiculously overstepped itself, as it has here.

I'm not gonna get myself crazy with this thread every 15 seconds. I feel the key date will be 8/19, when they are due back in court. That will be the resolution date IMO. Unless Brady pulls a Kraft, which I think it's obvious he not going to. He fights this to the bitter end.

So nash is finally speaking. Dont think he spoke during the appeal hearing .Curious , why no one from paul weiss firm is handling this now since they are the ones who interrogated brady

The person you're thinking of is Jeff Pash.
