Geno Smith out 6-10 weeks after altercation in locker room

Too bad for Smith. Hes not great but I thought he played well vs the Pats last year.

Was watching the NFL Network last night and No Class LT was interviewing Revis. Revis went on to say that the 2015 Jets secondary is better than the 2014 Pats' secondary.

"We have 9 guys here that can cover man to man".

All that money has made him delusional.

The guy who knocked out Geno has a total of 3 career tackles

Breaking news: jets sign Enemkpali to a 10 year 150m contract.

My first thought was this...

"What is going through Revis' head?"

I don't blame him for leaving. The Jets paid him more but it is just you leave a SB locker room with discipline and go to the Jets where your starting QB is punched and gets his jaw broken is and out 6 weeks.

I don't don't think he cares. He'll go out there and do his job really well and get paid more than anyone, and at the end of the day he clocks out and enjoys his life regardless of whether they win or lose. To be fair, I think most people don't really care how successful their company is, beyond its effect on their own pay/prospects. Revis seems similar, and I bet an awful lot of players are the same but less honest about it. We want them to care more about team success because we're rooting for the team, but I wouldn't be at all surprised to find that a lot of players--maybe even most--care more about individual accomplishments than team goals.

Even before this season, he outright stated that he'd rather plan on a bad team for $16M than a good team for $12M. That's just who he is, and those are his priorities. Money comes first, the Jets offered more money, so no, I don't think he really cares that he's in a dysfunctional locker room full of incompetent players.
