Am I wrong or does it seem an unusual amount of picks are aimed at Boyce? If so, is that because he is being targeted a lot or is it due to a lack of precision in his routes?
It seems that way to me too. Could be lousy separation. Lousy route-running. Doesnt fight for the ball.

Could mean crappy throws and excellent plays on the ball by the DB.

I don't think hes that great so I'll go with the fmr.

Chris Price might offer a clue about Boyce's fortunes with the team:

Josh Boyce also continues to stand out. Had great connection with Brady on deep ball, and also shows up positively as KR.

He'll need that to make the final 53.

Always liked Boyce
Want to see Dobson knock Gibson off the roster.
Would like to go in the season with 2 tightends Gronk, Chandler
Have our third waiting on the practice squad and have Lafell work as a move tightend more this year.
Dion Lewis over James White and Cadet
White to pracrice squad
All this would please me.

Nice line for Jimmy G, albeit without context:

Brady was 7-9 INT in 7-on-7s, 9-15 INT in 11s. Garoppolo was 5-6 in 7s, 11-14 in 11s. Lindley was 5-9 in 7s, 4-10 INT 11s.

Doug Kyed

@jeffphowe: Malcolm Butler jumped Josh Boyce's crossing route to make a "did he really just do that" one-handed INT of Brady.

Undrafted Ty Law

My thoughts are little more conservative. Did Boyce run another bad route?

Paul Perillo:

Offensive line took another hit today as Solder left early. That left a line of barker, mason, Andrews, Jackson and Cameron Fleming

Firstly, yikes! But secondly, aside from LT, that's a potentially good OL in 2-3 years, especially when you sub in Stork for Andrews.

Ha, probably. Was just kidding around. A good amount of passes targeted for Boyce have been picked or dropped. When I went to camp, he only impressed me on vertical routes.

He still seems like the same near useless player, but we'll all find out during preseason if he actually improved.

Jeff Howe is speculating that Solder left early for an appointment or something of that nature. He didn't seem to have been injured.

Glad to hear that. I hope he can be near that good. He has the tools to be a borderline probowler if he can fulfill his potential.

Im getting excited ridiculous this kid was undrafted.
Mr Kraft lets give him a 4 year 15 million contract now

They can't extend him till next year due to league rules. He will get paid though. If he does this year what I think he does I think 2 years 8M is in the cards with 3rd and 4th year options worth more.

He was brought in to give the Defense confidence going into the season. That's the type of player that can really pump up a defense. Sort of a human "welcome to the jungle."

Hey....it worked for Russell Wilson. He often cites the game he played against us as a confidence builder and a sign he could make it in the league. Throwing it deep for the win over two rookie safeties, one who has only ever played like 4 snaps on defense in college. o_O

I saw a video of the earlier Butler on Boyce pick the other day. In my opinion Butler was able to undercut the square in route because Boyce really rounded out the cut. Not to take anything away from Butler but Boyce's route running that is not a Go apparently still sucks.

@MikeGiardi: Hightower had a gift interception of Brady in 7-on-7s when Brian Tyms ran a crossing route and never looked for the ball.
