Eh. I think it's more that there's a large segment of the population that are just haters. They hate the Pats, they hate Bill, but God do they hate the Red Sox. They hate the Celtics, they hate Ainge. The only team they don't hate is the Bruins, but they make up for by hating Julian.

I don't buy that, think about this. There are what 60+K in gillette for every game. There are probably hundreds of thousands more watching on tv. This site has around 5K members, but only about 100+ are active members. Most of those hundreds of thousands have never heard of pats fan forum, or any other pats forum for that matter. I know because ive approached people who were obvious patriot fans to talk about the team and when i mention this site i get a blank stare. I haven't meet anyone who as ever heard of PFF. Since this whole escapade started and i bring it up these fans are shocked when i tell them about the lying etc. they only know what they see on local tv or bspn. Yeah Boston fans are miserable (especially sox fans) but the vast majority never go out of their way to go beyond what bogus, tanguay, felger CHB tell them. If they did, and knew what we knew, bogus, tanguay, felger chb etc would either have to be REAL reporters or lose their jobs.

So where do the ratings Felger gets come from? I know I hear plenty of people who seem to be Pats haters call that show.

I understand your point but if he was weeis version of felger he would continue the "everyone looks awful" "patriots are arrogant" shtick. Minihane calls it the way he sees it, for better or worse considering his reckless attitude. Where felger's sole role is to antagonize patriots fans no matter what current events are taking place.

Felger is really good at what he does (as is Mazz with the Sox) but after a while, the schtik will grow old. You can't be purposely fetching a straws the way F&M as been the last week or so talking about Defame gate. They literally are just throwing sh!t at the wall now just to see what will stick. Its been awesome when Marshall Hook been on the show, cuz he really challenges them both on this crap, and makes them both look like fools.

Pretty much I just read Curran at this point. He doesn't feel the need to tell "both" sides when one side is obviously wrong (e.g., when you are covering Holocaust deniers, there is no need to take the deniers seriously just to be fair). He'll mention them, but doesn't pretend to take stupid seriously, which is refreshing.

I just don't get this at all. Why can the Patriots have their own network (something like the Yankees "YES" network) for the fans to keep in front of any of the disinformation spread by the likes of ESPN?

Look, I understand that arguing with the haters is a complete waste of time. They're overgrown children immune to facts and logic. But it KILLS me when I hear people who would otherwise be Pats friendly talk **** about the team because of what they hear from the local boobs on TV and talk radio. THESE are the people who can be reasoned with if they had access to better information.
