Goodell has no plans to reduce suspension

I suspect that this stuff will increase up to Wednesday, along with a few well placed leaks to the mediots who will follow along.. who will be next.. so far Kravitz, Mort and Steven A.. there has to be someone else waiting in the wings.

.
Does the NFL have another surprise lie they are waiting to unleash before Wednesday?

Just posturing, all part of negotiating., why should he back down unless Brady says he will take more than one game. IMO his public statement in in violation of the Judge's order

Brady wants zero, Goodell wants 4 the split would be 2 Brady won't accept 2 so Goodell will tell Judge he tried to negotiate but Brady refused.

Except that the public statement undermines that..

i can see them pulling something out of their collective asses like, Brady cheats on his wife like he cheats in football.

Sadly there are still some in the media who believe that this Ahole is doing an okay job and we shouldnt make tom brady the victim here. Like that hubbach guy in NY and this guy Greg Giannati I was just listening to .

"Just some mischaracterizations and misleading.."

If integrity is really that important to Goodell, I can't wait to see what sanctions he levies against the commissioner's office when this ordeal is done.

Goodell knows he has lost the court case so he is simply playing to the public. The ONLY thing he has going for him is that he is not moving from his decision, no matter how stupid, and that to many is a sign of strength. Think about it, none of the haters out there care anything about the facts or integrity so why should Goodell.

Once the case is ruled upon and the season starts all this will be forgotten by the general public. The mob we'll go home disappointed but still calling out "Cheaters!" to the darkening sky.

Even for RG, I find this bizarre. Why comment at all ?

How can an NFL commissioner with a salary of $44 million per year not have a backup plan in arguably the biggest legal battle this year? And this buffoon announces it to everyone?

So one judge called Goodell's story a lie, another his having face contempt of court and now he's ignoring a 3rd judges order to cut the rhetoric?

The guy really thinks he's above the law doesn't he?

44 million a year can do that to a person.

First thing I do on Wednesday if I was Kessler is bring this up.

I mean this is basically telling Berman to stick the settlement up his ass.

Has Goodell lied under oath in court in other cases? Get this guy in jail maybe he's dumb enough..

Everytime Goodell talks about the "integrity of the game" and how no one is immune from the scrutiny of it, it makes me sick. There is no one in the NFL who has done more to tarnish the integrity of the game than Roger Goodell and he has never been scrutinized by the league other than a bogus investigation where he refused to give up his phone and surprisingly wasn't penalized for it.

How so?

In way, they are still positioning themselves? A lot can happen before 8/12/15 or nothing can happen and the judge will be pissed. The real issue isn't about the number of suspension days but that's what Goodell wants it to be. The real issues are about the violation of the CBA rules the excessive punishment without proof and trumped up charges to justify the punishment.

Quarterback's most precious tool is the football. Nothing happens to the footballs that the QB doesn't know about. In my mind, a some point in Brady's career with the Pats he talked to someone about how he likes the footballs. What he said was he never talked to anyone before the 2015 AFCCG game. So the league is saying he must have known sometime about the ball deflation to 12.5 but they are suggesting a lower PSI than that. That's BS on the part of the NFL.

The judge has to separate the punishment from the case to the violation and CBS procedures. if he does Brady wins. If he says split the 4 to 2 and move on, then there will be an appeal with hopefully the penalty set aside, Brady will play until the courts resolve the issue. Hopefully not during this season and the post season.

Just my thoughts.

I hope that Berman finds Goodell in contempt of court on Wednesday and has him arrested on the spot. Then have him held until after his other contempt of court hearing.. To really send a message home to Roger..
Well, he'll need to get in line b/c Roger The Dodger has a contempt of court hearing on the 13th for not executing on the courts order for the AP trial.

Berman: "You guys need to tone down the rhetoric and work on finding something you can agree on."

Goodell: "HEY MEDIA! I AINT NEGOTIATING SH*T! F*** Brady!"
What an arrogant, stubborn man.

Well, he's either bluffing or he truly believes what his lawyers are saying: the CBA is worded broadly enough to allow him to get away with anything. The latter seems in defiance of the judge's request that they try to settle, so I think it's a misguided negotiating tactic
