Looks like Wilfork is going to dominate in a 1 gap defense.

I really miss that dude -- wish they had signed him

yeah, that's kinda interesting, cuz all these years he's basically the guy who might get double teamed, but there's no way they don't give help to watt

One of the things I wish BB did was turn Vince loose in a one-gap. He was incredibly disruptive in college shooting gaps. I really think he would've had a shoo-in HOF career under a different coach. Credit to Vince for playing in a system that limited his ability to make splashy plays.

Fu*k!

*if Clowney lives up to his potential.

btw, this is just from memory, but I think after their bye last year they let up, like, 13 ppg over the 2nd half of the season with no wilfork.
that is gonna be a scary d-line.

I had stated here many time to the chicken littles that Vince would recover well from his achilles. I understand their skepticism because of his huge weight, but it was well known that Vince conditioned himself aerobically by a brutal regimen of swimming laps. That exercise allowed his tendon to heal without subjecting it to the normal exercise weight bearing stress. I'm sure he did stretching, etc. exercises as well to rehab.

Best to the Wilfork clan!

Good for him to land in a favourable spot. I wish him well. Having fellow beasts next to him will surely help - especially if Clowney can stay healthy.

Where did it say that? Romeo Crennel is defensive coordinator. Doesn't he run a 2 gap system? I know Crennel ran a 2 gap system last season with media wondering if Watt's sack total would go down because of it.

I thought Clowney played 3-4 OLB. Can someone confirm where on the front 7 he played last season?

I suspect he'll play a DE/OLB hybrid that won't be dropping into coverage very much. Jarred Crick probably ends up as the other '3-4 DE'.

I'm gonna miss me some Vince.

Four SB appearances
Two SB rings
Yeah........BB misused him. Should have been 350 lb gap shooter :)
And based on college success, Edelman should have remained QB, Bruschi a DL, Gronk a Dungeons and Dragons Imperial Wizard/Keg Tapper

Edit.......I am so wrong....Big Vince just destroyed the center. Gap Machine. Time to draft the Texans D
