Ron Wolf to Goodell: “Way to go on that Brady thing”

goodell looks worse than wolf , sarcasm or not.

I read it as sarcasm, in light of Goddell laughing response, you don't laugh if someone is seriously congratulating you. You laugh if somebody is busting your balls though.

I guess it can be taken either way, but it also makes sense if it isn't sarcastic. There are a lot of people in the league thinking, "I like the way you're sticking it to the Patriots."

How I look at is - aside from creating an 8 month **** show Goodell has not achieved anything so I the only reason you would say good job is if your being sarcastic.

The more I watch that video, the more it pisses me off.

I'm not pissed at Wolf. Hes a league guy. He helped the Jets in their GM and coach search. He also has a relationship with BB.

Reiss is right....that looked BAD. Hes been spending millions on destroying a player in this league because he needs to look good and has levied sanctions on the Pats that Iran would have a problem with and he laughs? Seriously?

I want that c-*-sucker fired. NOW.

Wolf is very friendly with Belichick ....

I think it was orchestrated buy the Doritos dinks in the league to make it look like respected people in the NFL back Goodell. The creepy thing about it is it can also be construed the way pats fans feel is that there are a bunch of guys with NYJ connections who are out to get the Patriots.

Agreed. If this was just Joe Schmo in this situation and accidentally laughed, I would be forgiving. But you're Roger Goodell. You get paid 40 f***ing million dollars a year to keep your s**t together and be a professional. And he is completely unable to do so. The obvious correct response would've been a slight head nod, or just no response at all; anything that doesn't convey any kind of emotion. Jovial bursting laughter is about the least professional response he could've given, outside of exclaiming "THANKS! F*** BRADY, RIGHT?"

I like it how everyone says the commissioner has a tough job. No Sh*t . You are getting 44 million an yr to do a tough job.

so, i guess smearing brady is funny to goodell. what a buffoon.

We need to step back for a minute and look at the bigger picture. I have no doubt that a number of owners are pissed at Goodell but they have a bigger issue in this fight. There will be another fight when the current CBA expires in 2020 and anything that makes the league look weak or vulnerable to going to be resisted. Goodell screws up but the owners have to support him or it gives leverage to the NFLPA.

The question is for how long can they afford to do this. RG's contract goes thru 2018 and from I can gather the terms make it near impossible to get rid of him (thanks Mr. Kraft). If they keep him till then, they will have to find a new commissioner that will be able to deal from a position of strength with the union. They are between a rock and a hard place.

The BIGGEST fear that the owners have is guaranteed contracts and they will/have sold their souls to RG to keep that from happening.

I think Goodell has hurt the leagues position at the next CBA. The only thing he's done is ensure the players don't trust him. I can't think of any negotiation that is made stronger by that tactic.

Seriously after seeing this I would take great pleasure in seeing someone punch him!
