Ron Wolf to Goodell: “Way to go on that Brady thing”

Kinda weird that goodell responded with a 'burst of laughter'

Maybe it wasn't sarcastic, but it sounds like rog thought it was

"Way to go on that Brady thing" just looks seeped in sarcasm.

If he was genuinely complimenting Goodell he would have phrased it differently, something like "good job" or "you handled..." etc

I think it was just a reaction, not really thought out, but a reaction.

One thing though, the League and 'The Club' within the League have been looking real bad lately, to anyone that cares to education themselves on the truth...to all others, like this Wolf guy, the Patriots got theirs...

What a mess, not possibly managed any worse...instead of...."hey we are hearing you guys like balls on the low end, be sure you are up to code..."..."ok, got it"....aannnnd done....

Here is the video. All I have to say is this is what 40 MILLION gets you in 2015. What a disgrace.

BOSTON (CBS) — With the release of the entire transcript from Tom Brady’s appeal hearing, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has been exposed on a few different levels. From being deceitful tobeing unreasonable to being borderline incompetent, the commissioner has been taking some licks in the national media this week.

Yet Goodell still has a fan in Ron Wolf. And that makes Goodell happy. Very happy.

Never really had a problem with Wolf. Regardless of his intention and whether people though he was serious or sarcastic it shed some negative light on Goodell.

I'm sure if it was Polian he would of went over there and shook his hand in sincerity.

That's just a bizarre exchange. It's one of the few things in his life I wouldn't blame Goodell for, because in that kind of scenario you're kind of programmed to laugh at anything ("You have the brain the size of a pea." "HAHAHAHA!!)

If I had to guess, it was a joke by Wolf, playing on the insanity of where things are, whatever one thinks about the whole thing. Just a throwaway remark--I wouldn't read much into it one way or the other.

One thing to remember is most people don't follow this as close as we do, just like we didn't follow Bountygate as closely as we should have.

Wolf probably still believes the balls were 2.0 PSI low and the science proves they were deflated. It goes to show us how damaging that leak (and non-correction) of false and prejudicial information was.

Whatever the context, nice to see Rog look like an ass hat again. Keep it coming, Comish.

I'm guessing it was sarcastic, from back in January:

On Wednesday, Patriots coach Bill Belichick said of Wolf, "We talk frequently. Tremendous respect for Ron and Ron's philosophy."

I woudnt worry about, we as fans are going to have to live with a lot of stuff because of this for a very long time. Im over it, I just try ignore it all now, getting better at it. Even other fans giving me **** I just laugh and keep my comments to myself, because you cant convince people who have blinders on.

Interestingly, reading the main boards at Reddit it see that many, if not most, think its sarcasm. This is especially true since even if you think Brady is guilty nobody can think its been handled well.

This guy doesn't look like he has much life left in him.

Good.

I think some of you have it wrong. Wolf is sticking it to Goodell.

Here's what Wolf said about Brady in Nov 2014

"(Brady) is highly competitive," Wolf said. "He can step around the rush. You knock him down, he gets right back up and spits in your face. He's a very talented player. He's obviously intelligent. He's tougher than heck, and he's resilient. Everybody says Peyton Manning is the (best quarterback of his era). I think the guy we're talking about is."

someone should ask wolf if he was being sarcastic.
Goodell's dorky laugh will look ever sillier, when we see the joke was on him and he was clueless.
