I was thinking more about the shot in the audience of the three guys he names, with Goodell, Pash and Giardies faces instead. That was good tho.
That would be good. Its not that hard. Can't take the time to dig up the image...

We can hate the flip-flopping but I think it speaks to the firestorm that Mort's tweet/article caused. 2 pounds low when the Colts balls were in line was 'GUILTY' for everyone who wasn't a Pats homer. And if that report was true then I would have been right there with everyone else saying 'someone was clearly doing something'...and taking it a step further, it's kind of illogical to think the ballboys were tampering with footballs without Brady's knowing about it.

So I don't get on someone like Minehane--as much as he's a sensationalistic douche most of the time--for this statement, it's merely reflective of almost everyone's opinion when Mort wrote his article, and highlights just how insanely damaging that initial false report was to the Patriots.

I hope the leakers (had to have been multiple, unless Mort was lying when 'multiple sources' confirmed he got his story 'exactly right') get exposed and heads roll.

I'm sorry. Minihane did NOT have to be a lemming and run to O"Reilly on national TV to indict Tom Brady.

There is a thread right here on this very website the moment Mortensen's tweet came out. I don't recall seeing too many of us 'amateurs" rushing to indict Brady at that moment. The majority were saying, let's get some more info.

Mr. Professional media man should have done the same.

Instead, he saw it as a big opportunity for himself.

Funny how some people give Minihane (who doesn't deserve it) such a long rope.

That was ...last night? Either last night or the night before. He did Early Edition in place of Tanguay and that's what he opened with.

Whoa!

So it took him 6 months, 1 week and 6 days from his national tv knife job on Brady to do a "mea culpa" on local tv?

Profile in Courage.

That Erin Andrews could beat him to a pulp with one arm tied behind her back.

Pretty sure he wasn't the only one in the media to do that in the wake of the Mort Report. Not sure why you're hot after him instead of the morons who HAVEN'T done a mea cupla. (like...oh, Felger, Maz, Buckley, Tanguay, Volin, Benz, Jones, etc)

Also, FWIW, last night wasn't the FIRST time he said he was wrong. Just the latest and the one calling out Felger and Maz the most loudly.

I'm not his biggest fan, but I'd take him over any of the above named clowns in a heartbeat.

Who says I have been defending those others?

You DO know who came up with the nickname MCI, right?

Minihane, however, is the one local who raced onto national tv quickest on Thursday January 22 to bury Brady. he billed himslef as an insider due to brady "talking with him on the radio" every Monday morning. He used brady's access for his own greed. It was his big professional break.

He's the "winner".

Nah, Shaugnessy was on ALL the national shows.

...next thing, that guy from the West Coast, Wilson, decides to THROW. Haha. Well, one thing lead to another, Malcolm grabs the ball and it was all over.

In my 1st acts as Interim NFL Commissioner, I pledge to:

Restore the 2016 & 17 draft picks taken from the NE Patriots.
Issue a statement that there was no human caused deflation & that Brady is innocent.
Apologize to the NEP.
Keep the fine $ since Kraft agreed to it.

Penalize the Colts a 2nd round pick for causing this mess. Pick assigned to the NEP.
Penalize the Jets their 1st round pick for tampering with Revis.
Have the Jets & Pats swap 3rd round picks as compensation.

Revisit 2008, and award the NEP an extra 1st round pick in 2016 as compensation.

Who is with me as Interim Commish?

I love the idea of you as Commish! However, I thought that you had to have worked for the Jets in the past to qualify for the NFL front office, no? ;)

I hate that Minihane is pro-Brady, because I really, really, REALLY don't like that guy. Next to Borges he's the other guy I'd love to walk up to and slap him in the face and hope he takes offense.
Minihane hasn't always been pro-Brady in this has he?

O.K. I'm a little slow. What does MCI mean?

Can't stand Minihane either. That said his beat down of Tanguay this morning was kind of glorious.

I just wish it was a physical beat down. I can't stand Tanguay.

Agreed. Minihane basically cut down every single argument from Tanguay and a couple anti-Brady callers. Of course Tanguay would try to wiggle around direct (and reasonable) questions but Minihane basically stopped him in his tracks whenever he tried to pull that ********. Made the same pro-Brady arguments that we've all been making. Gary would make ridiculous statements and minutes later deny that he had done so.

I just thought it was nice seeing someone rip Tanguay apart. At one point a caller shat on Tanguay for having an agenda because he failed on the radio. I think it was Minihane who butted in, "spectacularly failed". :D

Again I generally hate Minihane but it was kind of fun to listen to.

Does having had a Jets Landing Strip account in the past qualify me?

I listen to weei everyday, if my memory is correct, Kirk Minihane was at first skeptical and thought Brady had something to do with it, but I believe he thought it was a minor infraction that didn't make a difference in the game. After reading the Wells Report he changed his tune and now believes that there is no evidence and believes Brady. Today they interviewed Bart Hubbach (I couldn't listen-I hate him!) but I did read/hear their comments after and Minihane was all over him. Hubbach has never read the reports and continues to mock and accuse Brady/Pats. Look at the twitter conversation with Hubbach after the show. Hubbach was annoyed with WEEI for posting a tweet of a Dumb and Dumber video and comparing it to him reading the report. These are Minihane's responses to Hubbach(the first one is the best!):

What a child. If you're going to **** all over someone's integrity -- with no proof -- you should have a thick skin. https://twitter.com/barthubbuch/status/629366375220408320…

If it's vague -- let me be clear. You are a trolling moron. The world is laughing at you. https://twitter.com/barthubbuch/status/629370187150716928…

We brought you on to dance for us. That's it. And dance you did. Thanks for the stupidity -- made the show easier. https://twitter.com/barthubbuch/status/629370187150716928…

I hated Minihane at the start but he's growing on me.

Anybody that drops a deuce on thigh-high Tanguay earns points from me.

Since Bruce/Caitlyn got the Arthur Ashe award for courage this year, maybe Minihane will get it next year for being so heroic.

I do like what he has done the past few days, however.

Won't happen. A federal judge would know better than to issue an order that would violate attorney-client privilege (which would clearly apply to NFL/Pash) and if he did, the NFL would fight the order and very likely get it quashed.

Does anyone here have a connection with anyone connected to WikiLeaks?
