One of the questions today on her blog

Walter· 2 hours ago

Reports out today say that the NFL, in settlement talks, is insisting on at least a 1-game suspension. After reading the hearing transcript (as well as a myriad of other documents, including the Patriots' reply after the penalty was first handed down), I don't see how this can be acceptable to either the NFLPA or to Tom Brady. If no agreement can be reached on "punishment," does this mean the case will likely be decided by the judge? How much pressure, really, is there on the parties to reach a settlement? What constitutes good-faith effort to reach a settlement?

anyone read this anywhere ? where are these reports ?

1 game is unacceptable. They can shove it.

Anyone catch her appearance on Lebetard? Checking the on demand doesn't seem to include her spot.

I think she was on with that guy, lebatard?, maybe earlier today -- maybe audio on demand is somewhere

Poor thing will be on with Tanguay probably. At least he's familiar with vomity hot garbage.
Yep she'll be on with Tanguay. For the second day in a row he'll look like an idiot as he did with McCann today (granted he is always an idiot), then he'll bluster and say he disagrees once she's gone.

Goddamnit it's the second day in a row that I'll be hearing Tanguay's voice on the commute to work. Terrible routine to fall into.

I'll be in a meeting. :(

People should warn Steph about the clown she will have to deal with, even though she will probably handle him just fine.

Anybody listen to her on D&C? I missed it unfortunately. Only caught a segment where Minihane, JD, and several callers were pummeling Tanguay repeatedly.

The difference is that you and I are merely fans. As soon as we were presented with the facts, we recognized what sort of snake Goodell is. Kraft helped select and hire the man and--most importantly--after irregularities were presented in numerous NFL actions, continued to defend him publicly. This is not a single "mistake." This is a series of considered, calculated, unprincipled decisions. Goodell is a moron, but the people who brought him into power and continue to help him maintain that power bear significant responsibility for the consequences. Goodell should be dismissed for his flagrant abuses and the owners should be acting post haste to do so. Kraft should be at the front of that parade.
Perhaps Goodell is actually the most benign in the pit of vipers that is the owners group.

Hasn't Goodell received a few verbal "beatdowns" in decisions from other federal judges on how he's been handling things?

The federal judges might be getting exasperated from being repeatedly bothered by this kind of stuff. If so, nw may be the time to deal with Goodell once and for all. If Berman vacates the award and gives Goodell another "beatdown" there's a chance that Goodel will be (1) out of a job (ideal scenario); or (2) go about things a little more cautiously.

As Brady has sworn under oath that he's done nothing wrong and there is no actual proof of wrongdoing, I don't see what "settlement" he could agree to other than having the case be reviewed by a true neutral. If Goodell can't agree to that, I think the judge will know for certain who the "***hle" is in this dispute and decide the matter accordingly. At least that's how I hope it plays out.
