Realizing you were wrong, acknowledging it, and changing your opinion is not "flip flopping". Openness to new facts and a willingness to reconsider your previous views are good qualities, and shouldn't be demeaned by such a stupid phrase as "flip flopping".

Felger sucks, but he actually did the intelligent, responsible, and ethical thing here. It's the rare thing that he should actually be commended for.

The only thing he is backing down from is that the transcripts would make TB look bad. They don't. Even a fool can see that, and he did.

Actually, no because he still says he thinks Brady is guilty.

This was a falling on the sword after being proven wrong.

Plus it wasn't a case of being wrong about facts, it was a case of being wrong about something he was totally guessing at with nothing to back it up.

He doesn't have one. He even admits there is nothing in the released documents that show brady is guilty, but thats not good enough. Then he clings to the 'Destroyed phone' crap.

People like this also believe the moon landings were fake, and Bush planned 9/11.

Don't really know Felger because I don't live in the area, though I hear people complain about him all the time. I'll say this, though: at least he admits several times, unequivocally, that he was wrong. If only more reporters and league commissioners would follow his lead.

Yet, he's still half wrong while admitting he was wrong. Nobody asked for the phone, they can't require the phone, people, especially celebrities, destroy old phones for good reason.

This is progress for Felger. His baseless speculation was proven to be nonsense, and he admitted it and publicly accepted that he was wrong about this specific thing. He's still wrong on his overall impression of deflategate, but ... baby steps.
