"the Ideal Gas Law is a theoretical concept that predicts the impact of temperature change on pressure. And it's a mathematical formula that you need a whole lot of things to be satisfied and in place for it to work. So that, the Ideal Gas Law was out there."

WTF is Ted Wells blabbering on about there?

Being an idiot? People in positions of power (esp) lawyers believe they know everything. Everything. Him calling a scientific law "theoretical" is insane. He should be disbarred for a statement such as that.

I mean its just a silly point. Do they honestly think the texts said "Hey, John. Since they already went through your phone and I'm going to brick mine before they check it good job not ratting me out for deflating the balls."

Hes not doing his homework. Plain and simple.

As for the Columbia questions, our answer is on page 74 of the PDF. The NFL reached out to them in private, then there was an article on the NYT about it, and Columbia suggested that they go to Exponent instead. Exponent worked with Marlow to reach their conclusions.

Why on Earth would Columbia recommend Exponent, of all places? They had to be aware of its rep.

Q. So as you are sitting here, you have no idea whether the Patriots and the Colts gauge would read exactly like the logo gauge or the non-logo gauge? You have no basis for knowing one way other the another?

A. In terms of the actual gauge, you are absolutely correct. I had to make a judgment.

Wells admitting he doesn't even know if either team used a calibrated gauge to get to 12.5 and 13 before the game. His next answer, he says it would be lightning striking twice for both teams to have an out of whack gauge provided by Wilson (like the logo one Walt Anderson said he used but Wells disregarded...)
How can wells make a judgement ? Shouldnt it be the people who measure the footballs ?

As I am reading this, Kessler is the Lawrence Taylor of lawyers. Seek and destroy.

Simple .... he does not know what he is talking about. It's a law not theoretical. Big difference.
It works every time ... PV=nRT always works Mr. Wells.

.... reads .3 to .4 higher. It is consistent. 10 That gauge, it may read high, but we tested 11 it hundreds of times. It always reads .3 to .4. 12 It's like I tell people I have a scale in my house.
13 Q. Mr. Wells, can I break in to ask a question 14 here. I know you would like to make a speech about 15 your report, but I would like to ask a question. 16
MR. LEVY: Why don't we let him finish. 17
MR. KESSLER: It wasn't even the question. 18
MR. NASH: It was.

sounds like it was a very friendly conversation.. :)

Q. Who said his best recollection was it was the logo gauge, direct?
A. Correct, but he also said it was possible he was mistaken.
Q. As you know as a lawyer, witnesses will say anything is possible?
A. Not Walt Anderson. You need to meet him. You should call him.
Q. He maintained with you he really thought it was the logo gauge?
A. But he also maintained that he could have been wrong.

LOL Wells here is clinging onto "well he said he could have been wrong..." yeah but Teddy boy how many times did you plant the seeds of doubt into his mind for him?

Why on Earth would Columbia recommend Exponent, of all places? They had to be aware of its rep.

Good question. Maybe they wanted the NFL to trip up. Doesn't Kraft have a connection to Columbia? That could be it too.

For anyone who has been in a room with 10+ lawyers it is a very intimidating experience.

In a skim of Brady's responses, seems to me he did fine.

To answer Mort as to the importance of his INCORRECT information on the PSi's:

Let us compare Brady's cool and confident performance in June in front of 10+ lawyers, UNDER OATH, when he knew the ACTUAL DATA, versus when he appeared NOT under oath in front of schlubby sportswriters with INCREDIBLE and FALSE DATA hanging over his head.

17 To our shock, after he contacted Columbia's
18 Physics Department, there was an article, either the
19 next day or the day after in the New York Times that
20 Paul, Weiss had reached out to the Columbia Physics
21 Department. And we were, to say, the least outraged
22 that we had reached out in what we thought was a
23 confidential contact and then it was published in
24 the New York Times.

Huh, funny how that works.... Must be a ****ty feeling....

Why on Earth would Columbia recommend Exponent, of all places? They had to be aware of its rep.

Maybe because they thought this was a waste of time?

Cuz Brady is gonna be sending incriminating texts 3 weeks into the investigation

I mean its just a silly point. Do they honestly think the texts said "Hey, John. Since they already went through your phone and I'm going to brick mine before they check it good job not ratting me out for deflating the balls."

Especially after the superbowl ?Is this what brady was doing according to them ?

Its his Alma Mater.

Wow Ted I award you no points and may god have mercy on your soul

Page 79 - Kessler asks Ted Wells to read page 260 of some evidence, it's the end of game report and it says the Patriots and Colts both used the logo gauge meaning to get the same readings Walt Anderson HAD to have used it too, which kills the Wells report right there.

Wells reply? They never addressed page 260 in the report! What a clown.

Agreed. I'll be tuning into Felger and Mazz tomorrow just to see what they cherry pick. Brady is one cool, cool customer. See it on the field, see it in the courtroom. That Jan press conference was a setup. The league set him up.
