sticking it to pats any way they can....noticed this on their NFL front page.....there's a conspicuous absence

DARREN WOODSON: WITTEN IS BEST EVER
His former Cowboys teammate told ESPN's Todd Archer, “You cannot tell me there’s a better tight end to ever play the game. I look at Tony Gonzalez. He wouldn’t block a soul. ... Antonio Gates, turn the film on of him. He won’t touch a soul. You already know Jimmy Graham won’t block anybody. This guy, not only is he a great pass catcher, but he’ll do everything.”

It would make MORE sense if Graham wasn't mentionned - Gronk is a contemporary.... Ridiculous.

I fairness, Darren Woodson is waaayyyyyyyyy too old to have played against Gronk.
So he can't have that first hand knowledge like he does of the other old..I mean retired players

Not too old to include Graham in the comparison.

Lol. How many records has he set? Super Bowls? Please. Anyways there are zero Patriots players that are any good according to ESPN. Troll central is what that cesspool is. Good news though, it's nice bulletin board material. Anyone here think Gronk won't take this personally?

Gronk is clearly the better blocker and perhaps you can make a longevity argument but....

Witten 191 games, 57 touchdowns, 4 thousand yard seasons, 0 double digit TD seasons.
Gronk 65 games, 54 touchdowns, 2 thousand yard seasons, 4 double digit TD seasons.

Gronk's 1327 yards and 18 TDs (one rushing) NFL TE record.

Playoffs
Witten 7 games 0 touchdowns
Gronk 8 games 6 touchdowns

He looks old enough..I mean look at them jowls. All them wrinkles in his face.
I bet he wears depends too.

Jason Witten is borderline to 2nd ballot HoF. Great player. Great person.

Gronk is transcendent. A major oversight not to include him.

I googled it because I don't want to click ESPN. Apparently it's an interview from an E:60 show coming up.

Anyway, I found this nugget on a sports forum. Highly accurate and cannot be refuted.

"It just struck me that between Peyton Manning, Jason Witten and Reggie White, UT may have produced 3 of the GOATs at their respective positions. That is incredible."

Lol.

Yea not sure about Gronk's longevity. Hes such a target. I thought he showed signs of avoiding that big hit a little more but still.

I think after Wards hit they've tried to put him in positions that he can defend himself on. I remember the Broncos game last year. I wasn't on the board at the time but I remember them sending Gronk on a seam route. He caught it and within a split second that loser Ward went low. Had Gronk not moved an inch in a millisecond he is out for the year again.

They didn't do it again.

gronk continues to play like this for 5 more years and he will be one of the best players of all time...who cares what one moron thinks.

Yep and here it is. Bastard.

Hes so freaking big, thigh-highs (compared to Gronk) like Ward need to go for the knees to have any chance of bringing him down.

Being an outstanding run blocker isn't helping extend his career either.

By the time hes 29 he'll be 1/2 what he was.

Enjoy him while hes here.
