Breaking Story of NFLPA-NFL Expedition Motion

For all of you who claim that Brady didn't do his share of denying early on because he was 'mislead' by lies.... let me refresh your memory to his response to questions regarding the offensive formations used in the divisional round against the Ravens: Brady was very amused and some might even say, a little '****y' with his response when he said "Maybe they should read the rule book". - To me, this is Brady playing his innocent and confidence card. THAT'S what Brady looks like when he doesn't give two $hits about what the media, kids, or opposing teams think: HE KNOWS they didn't do anything illegal during that game, and his demeanor shows it.

OTOH, when the whole deflategate saga first broke out, I didn't see an amused Brady one bit. He seemed very rattled, confused... almost someone lost in words, caught doing something wrong, yet can't understand how he got caught. I'm not saying he did anything, but his initial response was very very weak. Reminds me of my kids response when I catch them lying. I can read the 'oh ****, I just got caught lying' emotion, right on their faces. And THAT conveys 'lying'. Again, I'm not saying he did anything wrong. But his loss of words (for a lack of a better term), his silence in the following months, the lack of utter denying and strong condemnation of the allegations in a public presser (Facebook doesn't count, we're not kids), just doesn't sit right in the court of public opinion... and you what? If I wasn't such a team homer, it would be very hard for me to believe him as well.

Thinking about it, no one understood balls lost psi in lower temps. It makes some sense that Brady would lack confidence in asserting that no one had a hand it if he believed the NFL* report that 11 out of 12 were a full 2lbs under.

^this.
Danny, you are projecting your own narrative, trying to read something that may be totally different. After the Ravens game Brady knew what happened, it was easy for him to be relaxed and jerk Harbaugh's chain a little. After the AFCCG it's was more a WTF? moment, not understanding what was happening, where did this come from, what's going on?

It's like the difference between gloating in a private poker game because you just drew a flush to take a hand from a guy bluffing two pair, and being dazed cuz the swat team just tossed a couple of flash-bang grenades as they busted the door down. They just won the AFCCG, going to the Super Bowl, and out of left field come allegations of cheating that was totally baseless. No wonder Brady was off balance.

Remember the Patriots thought the 2 PSI under thing was true at a point too to the tune they spent the first week of Super Bowl prep RUNNING EXPERIMENTS TO SEE HOW IT WAS EVEN POSSIBLE!

What's more is they did find a way for a Football to decrease by 2 PSI using the way they prep the game balls in the week!

So at the time, Brady might not have been sure if they did or didn't do something wrong inadvertently.

If the police suddenly told me that they found a bunch of stolen property in my garage and I then had to start answering questions about it, I suspect that I would act confused and rattled instead of amused and ****y.

Of course, if I later found out that the police had lied about the entire thing, I'd be pissed.

Ok Swami. I'm sure you'll be back to own it if you're wrong. You know, the same way you're wrong when you say 'if the judge gives him 1 or 2 games'.

Brady asked Goodell for 0 games and was denied.

If the Judge thinks that Brady deserves 0 games then why bother with the settlement hearing where everyone already knows that Goodell is not going there? Goodell will offer 1 -2 games and if Brady says no the Judge will uphold all 4 games.

What an absolute baseless claim by you.

If the judge believes Brady is innocent then he is doing an injustice asking for a settlement hearing where Brady would likely serve 1 - 2 games.

You mean the phone he wasn't legally required to hand over and the phone ted wells said he didn't want?

So, Brady does not look bad ordering his phone to be destroyed during the investigation?

Totally agree. TB had no clue what was going on. For all he knew, the ball boys did do something. And if he did his own investigation, like texting them...Well we know had that would have went. They were out to get Brady either way.

Don't you have some puppies to kick, or some candy to take away from babies?

The best outcome for the judge is that the parties settle for something close to what he would decide.

This is true no matter WHAT he would decide.

The judge isn't being asked to determine guilt or innocence. He's being asked to rule on whether the process was fair and in accordance with the CBA. He probably thinks this case is a waste of time too and if the matter is settled, then he doesn't have to use valuable time dealing with it (you know on to real things like actual crime...though if he dug deep enough he probably would find criminal acts here, but still not in the same category of what he deals with).

I believe Brady is sick of all this crap and will cut his losses with 1 - 2 games and move on with the 2015 season with nothing to think about but football.

Hes always said that he did not want to be that guy on the evening news being shed in a negative light.

I disagree.

I think he'll draw the line at "get it over with" vs. "keep fighting" in quite another place. Namely, I think he'll hold firm on suspension or apparent admission of guilt, but give up his chance at a defamation suit.

So accepting a 2 game suspension, not being exonerated from the accusation of cheating, that's gonna put him on the evening news 'being shed' in a positive light??

Don't look now but Brady has been all over the evening networks ever since this thing broke.

A pending trial hanging over the season is worse.

There is no 'trial' hanging over the season, and no, it wouldn't be worse. It can't be any worse than it's already been, unless you believe he's guilty of this and more.

You keep saying something obvious and then making assertions that aren't remotely justified by the obvious thing.

You mean the trial that the judge has agreed to finish by 4 Sept? That pending trial?
