Well, Florio is a former lawyer. Tanguay has seen every episode of Matlock, Law & Order, and Law & Order:SVU. So I think Tanguay is far more qualified to interpret the laws of this case and determine which way Judge Berman is leaning.

BTW, Michael McCann has said basically the same thing as Florio that Brady and the NFLPA structured their arguments very compellingly.

One clue that the Judge is leaning towards Brady is that Judge Berman went out of his way to say that the appeals transcripts will be unsealed if this goes to court. It is usually a given that it would, but the fact he specifically stated that was a warning to someone. According to reports it is the NFL and not Brady and the NFLPA who want them sealed.

No kidding. A federal judge called Goodell a liar just last November over the Rice case. He and his office lied about the ball pressure for months by not correcting the story which they almost certainly leaked in the first place. Goodell even repeatedly lied about concussions. How can any reasonable person side with Goodell over Brady given their respective histories?

Because it's the Pats. A 6th round draft pick. A former blue collar owner. Oh and did I mention 4 championships in a modern time when anything over 2 or 3 in a short time is frowned upon?

Even though he does a great job, I wouldn't put him in the same category of "media" as Florio who is national, has over 1,007,000 Twitter followers and gets a paycheck from the National Broadcasting Company.

Its sort of apples and oranges.

I think he's slow-minded. Felger does the same act and is infuriating in the fact that its obvious its an act, but at least one can understand his arguments.

Oh, for some reason I assumed he was part of the NFL Allen family, and thus a national figure. My mistake. On the other hand it doesn't diminish the effort and detail he brings to his posts.

BTW -If he's local, I would suggest Ian or someone reach out to him and get him to do something here, or at worst become a participant in our own little madness.

90% of the boston mean hate the local teams. Especially if they are successful because that renders the media guys useless. Boston media is an arrogant self serving group which likes to feel important .I remember thorton ripping CHB on air with this very theory,it was so accurate.

Thanks for clarifying. I was referring to the media and some fans and not the other teams. I had espoused a similar theory in another thread.

I didn't catch Florio this morning, but right now on PFT Live he's hammering the point that this is going to settle, because that's what the judge wants. Also being hard on Goodell, but more "this is why you should settle" than that the judge will rule against the NFL.

Again proposes 4 game fine, no suspension, no admission of fault.
