Doyle wanted BB banned for life !. I still think this whole operation was orchestrated to get BB. They didnt think it will end up with tom. Thats why they ended up punishing the team as well.

I'm listening to Doyle right now....He just believes the Patriots are guilty. He's most upset because the Colts told the league the Patriots were going to deflate the balls and the league let them do it. There is no convincing him it didn't happen. He's a true believer.

The league's actions are beyond reprehensible in so many ways. I believe the Patriots are 100% innocent, but imagine what the national narrative would be if that game played out in such a way that the Pats jumped out to a 24-3 first half lead, then held on to win 30-27.

The League dodged a bullet there. Arguably it is one less headache we have to deal with as well.

I love Larry Bird as much as anyone--some of my earliest memories are watching him, both on TV and at the Garden, with my dad. To this day, I think he was the best shooter and greatest trash talker the NBA's ever seen. He was amazing. But anyone who thinks he's better than LeBron is crazy. If anything, that's just further evidence that Doyle is an insane homer who's incapable of forming anything resembling a rational opinion.

OT but Bird was much more clutch than Lebron. LBJ is 2-4 in the finals, and Bird was 3-2 losing to Magic Johnson's Lakers.... Bird could carry a team....
