Practice over. RB Tyler Gaffney was a new absence. Dion Lewis looked good in his reps. Definitely has some explosion

Go Dion! Man, there's been a deafening silence on RBs and 3rd down RBs. I hear White mentioned, but not why.

Dion's my bink, I really think they could keep him even if another 3rd down back emerges, because he is a real running back and could be a returner too.

Very active day for CB Tarell Brown. Counted at least 3 pass deflections. Appears to be moving well

I think Brown and Butler will end up as the starters outside. McClain in Arrington's old slot position. With Ryan, Fletcher and Roberts competing for backup time. That's six, one more than we usually carry so one could go (Fletcher) or be cut and hoped to get to PS (Roberts). Could carry 6 also.
I have been to two Practices sat and Sunday. Other than McCourty I think Ryan has looked like the next best DB. Malcolm looks good to me too. Richards flashed once or twice Sat but didn't stand out to me Sunday and vice versa for Brown. Fletcher and McClain seems ok to me and Roberts makes some plays but vs lesser talent.

Outside of the DBs today I thought Dobson was the star he had the highlight catch of the day and had a few other solid plays.

Blount is our best back IMO. But Gray seems to get first reps and looks good too. I see flashes from all 3 3rd down backs White, Lewis, and Cadet and so far not sure who my favorite is.

Favorite formation of camp so far has to be two TE one back set with both TEs lined up on the same side. Gronk and Chandler will be able to play off each other in the pass game and not a bad strong side for the run.

Of course it depends on the future but, Cannon was solid at tackle before and no one else there has proven they can. sure want to see Cannon show something, though. If he wasn't nursing an injury, well...I'm hoping they know what they paid for.

Cannon is Devey insurance.

It ensures that the Pats never have to keep Devey on the roster or see the field during a game.

Vollmer always has some kind of injury.

Solder is coming off cancer, probably concussions, and a generally dubious season, and is going into a contract negotiation.

Hence Cannon's perceived value.

Yeah, they definitely need a swing tackle. Hope he plays like one again.

The Patriot Way

Which, like I've said before, is really just "**** the media."

Lol at the Bills. From Matthew Fairburn on Twitter:

@MatthewFairburn: Positive news from Bills camp today: The first-team offense completed its first pass of 15-plus yards in team drills. Cassel to Harvin.

Why did Brady give Butler a high five? This isn't Pop Warner football.

high fiving him for giving up the play to Edelman. I would have done the same thing lol. If I was Butler I would have told Brady to stick it. And then pick him off on the next play. :p

That defense will be unreal and I don't doubt that they could score on our defense.

Stork is a stud. I don't know how they got him in the 4th round.

A couple of good centres were taken in the late rounds last draft and started most of last season. Linsley is another and I think Russ Bodine of the Bengals?

I don't think the bills D is as great as everyone says. They have a stout front 4 but that's about it. I really think the Jets D will be better - great front 4, decent LBs, great corners and so-so safeties.
