Practice over. Butler getting in extra work 1 on 1 with Roberts.

I know this might not be the place for this but, with Fleming, Wendell, Jackson and Mason battling for 2 positions, and Fleming capable of backing Vollmer, it makes me wonder why they devoted so much money to Cannon.

I mean, I would have liked to have seen Cannon's money go to Vereen. Vereen is going to be a Kevin Fulk in the future.

I think the Pats could have kept Vereen if they wanted to, it may be that they didn't want to set a precedent paying as much as Vereen demanded, for a RB.

im glad to hear that Dobson seems to be having a nice camp. and amendola as well. with lafell coming back a position group that didnt look too strong last year suddenly looks to be fill of riches.

The Cannon resigning reminds me of Arrington, seems like a waste of money. I guess it's for Vollmer insurance.

Malcom Brown was better today. Easley had a bad start but finished really strong.

Blount had a goal-line TD in the Garoppolo group. Brady lost his damn mind with the subs. Could hear him cheering 50 yards away.

Practice over. RB Tyler Gaffney was a new absence. Dion Lewis looked good in his reps. Definitely has some explosion

Collins had a PBU on a Brady-Chandler TD bid.

And for a little humor...

Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter
Seahawks released starting defensive tackle Tony McDaniel today. Said it was for salary cap reasons after extending Wilson and Wagner.

Malcom Brown had another strong day inside. Takes up space with his physical presence.

Stork is a stud. I don't know how they got him in the 4th round.

Well according to some of the resident, self-proclaimed "draft experts" on this site, Stork was just another example of a reach by BB for a player he could have drafted later.

Anyone know tomorrow's schedule?

I found those people odd. He won the college award for best center while at Florida St. I think his whole line was drafted to the NFL the following year? . I think sometimes projections based on combines and measureables are off sometimes. He was under drafted and it happens all the time and vice versa.

Tre Jackson being one of them.

Hopefully Stork and Jackson's chemistry carries on to the pro level.

Vollmer always has some kind of injury.

Solder is coming off cancer, probably concussions, and a generally dubious season, and is going into a contract negotiation.

Hence Cannon's perceived value.

Sounds like Dobson did well today which is encouraging but we've heard it before with him. It'll be interesting to see if he can put it together this year or if he'll be another one of the infamous BB era of failed 2nd round pick WR's.

We have? He didn't practice during TC last year.

Very active day for CB Tarell Brown. Counted at least 3 pass deflections. Appears to be moving well

I think Brown and Butler will end up as the starters outside. McClain in Arrington's old slot position. With Ryan, Fletcher and Roberts competing for backup time. That's six, one more than we usually carry so one could go (Fletcher) or be cut and hoped to get to PS (Roberts). Could carry 6 also.

Tom Brady went 11-15 in 11-on-11s, Garoppolo 7-10. Brady 5-7 in 7-on-7s, Garoppolo 1-3.

I thought Tarell Brown and Aaron Dobson stood out today. Brown had multiples deflections. Dobson made a few nice grabs.

Tavon Wilson has had a solid early showing in camp. He deflected a pass today while covering Brandon Gibson during 3v3s.

Eric Martin floored Scott Chandler during a 1-on-1 tackling drill. He's a strong tackler and looked good in those situations.

Tyler Gaffney wasn't at practice today. He got crushed yesterday by Sealver Siliga.

Practice ending now Edelman seems to be favoring an ankle

Boy, you started out good, but i don't like the last couple.:D Go Tavon, go Martin, go Tarrel and Dobson.

Thanks for the compilations Ross!

Of course it depends on the future but, Cannon was solid at tackle before and no one else there has proven they can. sure want to see Cannon show something, though. If he wasn't nursing an injury, well...I'm hoping they know what they paid for.
