I've posted in other threads that the most natural settlement is:

• Brady's punishment is reduced to a wrist-slap.
• Brady signs away the right to a defamation case.
• The league continues to say Brady is guilty.
• Brady continues to say he is innocent.

If that happens, I hope Brady goes against type and proclaims his innocence -- and therefore his condemnation of the league's whole process -- VERY loudly and VERY quickly. Indeed, I hope he does so in the same news cycle as contains the official signing of the document.

To avert this, the league is going to try to have the final settlement include a general gag order. I hope Brady refuses to agree to that, and that the judge backs him up (by pointing out to the league that if they don't sign they'll just lose their case, and Brady will still be free to sue for defamation).

IMO this was a Kensil Operation, This is my sequence:

NFL front office gets the email fron Grigson, normal gamesmanship

Kensil, Blandino, Gardi, Pash see the opening to get BB, so the Pats aren't notified to not deflate their footballs, they will run a sting and hopefully get BB, they tell Grigson to keep an eye on the Pats balls.

24 balls are delivered to Anderson @ 12.5 psi! He does the usual sloppy check ,nothing recorded, 12 balls kept as backup, 12 taken to the field by McNally, who is not not stopped , but is monitored by Kensil's people.

The stage is set, Goody isn't aware that anything is happening, yet.

First half, Pats 17-7, 1 TO. Grigson has equipment guy measure the psi, this is the 2nd quarter, psi has dropped as per the IGL, they notify Grigson who tells Kensil who get a boner.

Halftime the trap is sprung, balls are measured,minder pressure,moot em, start to measure Colts balls , damn they higher than Pats but still low, shut down after 4 Colts balls measured Kensil got BB!!!!!!
Pats balls inflated, destroying the evidence, Kensil thinks the balls are under weight dumbass doesn't know the difference between pressure and weight, figures, he was a Jet exec. Informs Pats they are in "Big f'n trouble.

2nd half disaster for Colts, Pats hang 28, Colts get thrown outta the club. Perhaps no one will care about the footballs after all the Colts were destroyed......

Now comes the interesting part, who dropped the dime to Kravitz?

Did Isray do enough Coke the drop Charlie Sheen and call Kravitz in. Drug fueled rage? Or did Kensil not want to let this opportunity slip and miss taking a shot getting BB banned from football?

I think the drug addict called his media guy. Kravitz goes nuts and writes his screed, things start to pick up the ball is rolling! Story attributes Dequell Jackson for noticing low psi and informing equipment guy, the lie is exposed later

Things are going great, hopefully the Pats will lose Super Bowl and BB get banned for cheating, dynasty destroyed. Perfect. But then a problem showed up, people with a science engineering chemistry education started making noise about this Ideal Gas Law videos on you tube. The NFL suits are shocked, they had no idea that ball psi dropped with temp, if it got out that Goodell's people ran a sting to frame a team going to the SB, the firestorm would transfer to Goodell. The Head Smart Labs report vid report drops, they panic.

They call in the Fixer Ted Well to bury the Patriots and protect Goodell and the Kensil/Jets gang, we know the rest......leaks lies, compliant media. They are pissed that the Pats won the SB, that they couldn't tag BB , Brady is collateral damage, it was either Brady or Goodell no brainier for Park Ave.

The leaks have Brady and the Pats off balance for months,meddling with lies that make them look guilty.


This is my version, I hope after the NFLPA lawsuit is settled and the season ends that a defamation lawsuit establishing the defamation of Brady, McNally and Jastremski.

I don't think Goodell knew about the leaks myself. I think he knows who did it. I think he did not want them out. But once they were leaked and this snowballed out of control, he decided that is own personal self preservation was more important than fairness and the truth.

Wow, this is really kinda big news. Basically a complete dilution of Goodell's power, but without the PR hit of a firing or demotion. Restores a bit of the checks and balances. Re-filling the empty COO position of #2, which not unsurprisingly RG had never bothered to fill upon his promotion from same position. That guy. He was #1 AND frickin #2 in command! No wonder he acted like God. No one to question, or worry might replace him if he F'd up. All lower minions. Basically this is the owners telling RG, you've kinda messed up and oh yeah we want this guy (our guy) in the #2 spot.

Might explain much if we a shift of policy going forward. Hope so at least.

I'm surprised Kraft / Brady / someone hasn't offered Mort a million dollars to reveal his source to the public, on the condition that he has proof and one of if not all the sources are part of the league office. Getting Mort to talk would pay for itself many times over in a defamation suit against the NFL.

Gotta go with Kensil and his target initially was the much hated Belichick who had to be behind all of this.. the initial flurry of misinformation was targeted at him as the leader of this very successful franchise.. when they realized he had nothing to do with it, it was too late. The NFL top honchos were led down this path and could not turn back, because of the Ray Rice, Adrian Peterson and Hardy fiascoes..

BB also added fuel by using the NFL rule book to his advantage, which necessitated rule changes for the less than brilliant(dumb) teams in the NFL..

Kensil was ranting and raving down the sideline during the Indy playoff game telling the Pats equipment manager their franchise was "f..ed" not sure if he was drooling or not, Kensil really believed he caught the Pats cheating.. he finally had gotten Belichick..

Then when Brady, using highly controlled balls, against Seattle in the greatest 4th quarter performance by an NFL quarterback in a Superbowl ever it only added more fuel to the fire.. this win had to be minimized, thus this minor brouhaha had to be intensified by Kensil and crew. BB could not be viewed as one of the greatest coaches ever, as that is not what Kensil scripted.. Kensil has very serious inflammation of his butt after BB chose the NEP over the NYJ and no amount of preparation H can ever make that better.

Pash pretty much did what he wanted, at least he has some accountability now.

And I think the reason Pash and Roger were in no rush to correct the false 2 pounds under reports because they were so ignorant of the effect of natural forces, one pound under was just as much evidence to them of tampering as two pounds under. In fact, the only thing they seemed to care about was that the Patriots balls seemed to have less pressure than the few Colts balls measured at the end of halftime. To these dumbasses, that was all the smoking gun they needed.

Yes, there was plenty of malicious intent and scheming but also a fair amount of stupidity on their part. But they were not alone, they had plenty of doofusses in the media to back them up.

With each day, this is playing out to look like Goodell's Waterloo.

ESPN and the NFL front office are watching their credibility get smashed with substantiation and facts on a daily basis. Next week's Owner's meeting could be where the other 31 begin laying the groundwork for change on Park Avenue
