Pass rushers. They've got a bunch, but somebody's going to have to step up. Only so many can play or be on the roster.

Honestly pass rushers is not a worry for me. We have Nink/Jones as starters and Shread as a high priced FA along with 2 draft picks that are going to be mostly DEs. I am confident that we have the bodies and talent there for this year. It has not been a concern of mine.

I mean do you know if he's played on teams? He's played a couple years.
Oh I have no idea. But the funny thing is he only had 6 tackles last year, but 2 forced fumbles. So he must hit very hard as you said.

Goddamn! It's good to read a thread of FOOTBALL TALK!! Going down next week. My daughter who's doing some work in Haiti told me to send her pics!! She's a big time Patsfan!

because all of us love the dude, but let's not put him in hof yet cuz of one play.
I'll be happy if the dude can just be a consistent starting corner.

fyi, me and my buddy were raving about the guy last year in preseason --- I thought he could actually start if push came to shove + there were some injuries, but his limited sample during the year wasn't the greatest ---- except for the final game, of course...........
Not putting him in the Hall of Fame yet but damn what's a guy got to do before you pump him up rather than pump brakes?

Anything about Jordan Richards?

Agreed. Plus these guys saw Revis first hand last year. Probably a good comparo. If he looks as smooth and confident as they say, I trust he's onto something. He'll be at worst a solid Leigh Bodden type CB IMO. All on him to see where he goes from there.

@DougKyedNESN: The Patriots released CB Derek Cox, CB Justin Green and LB D.J. Lynch.

Probably good signs. I liked Cox and Green to maybe compete for the PS. But it seems they just don't have a chance right now.

Yes he looked good again. It is early but they might have something with him.
Is his speed not as bad as they say? I thought that was one of the concerns

I have not seen him in person but what i have read seems to indicate he is fast enough. He seems to always been in position one way or another. His mental abilities have been as advertised and combined with the speed he has he has been able to blanket people and make life difficult.

Edit - Here is a link as well.

Someone here pointed out he made 3 great plays in the Superbowl. I re-watched the game specifically to see him play. The last play was his crowning achievement, but he made some really good plays before that point. These posts are refreshing and look forward to more training camp input, thanks.

He's very athletic too. 40-yard dash (4.53 sec), three-cone (6.69 sec) and short shuttle (3.97 sec) at his pro day.

To put those numbers in perspective . . . guess which NFL lineman had these numbers?

40-yard dash: 4.52
3-cone: 6.62
short shuttle: 3.92

Oh wait. Did I say lineman? I meant

Pretty sure nobody here put him in the HoF.

Yeah, if we can't say, "he looks good" about a guy, what can you say?

I don't know if it's because of the DFG nonsense, but I must confess that there are several names in this thread that I have never heard before. Usually I'm so on top of things that I can name every rookie as well as a handful of guys who are likely on the shadow roster. Not this year, though.

Sounds like Ray Rice and Brandon Spikes are joining us soon just kidding about Rice.
But would like to see Spikes and Pats work something out.
Possibly Dennard or Freeney coming in?

Yummy :

It's early, but Aaron Dobson has had a good camp. It's nice that it's starting to come together for him.
I have never understood why so many of us have dismissed him so quickly. I could see questioning his durability or even his work ethic. But given is strong rookie year (for a Pats WR). it was much too early for so many fans to simply give up on him.
