".....a league office drunk on power, overwhelmed by prejudice......"

Kraft would have done much better not to babble on about how much he loved the privilege of being an owner, of being in the "club", etc. etc. That was a huge blunder, among several. The fans do not give a damn, Bob, I promise you. And then the other owners basically let KRaft twist in the wind, making him look even more meek and foolish.

If there are ANY any other anecdotes or god forbid photos of Kraft giggling on a couch somewhere with Goodell, I will lose my damn mind.

. Let's see if he can survive the pressure of an owners meeting before putting back on the pedestal.

He can get new friends to make him feel liked.

Let's allow him to take us out for dinner once a month at Patriots Place.

It begs the question, why wouldn't the NFL office just comply with the Patriots' perfectly reasonable request (which they shouldn't have had to make in the first place). This is looking really, really bad for the NFL.
Because they're former jest employees! Just look at how there jest have been run for close to fifty years. Now goody, pash, kensil etc are doing to the league office what they did to an NFL franchise.

i still dont get this, i mean the jets are a truly dumb fanbase and is run by stupid people.

how in the hell did they get into the front office of a billion dollar industry?

You got me. ive been wondering the same thing. How could a loser of a franchise get so many of its former employees in control of managing the NFL, they couldn't manage one lowly team. Anyways NO team should be able to control the league office, there will inherently be bias towards other teams.

Well said.
It appears the only qualification required to work for the NFL home office is if you live within in commuting distance. And since the disfunctional Jets discard "executives" on a yearly basis......the league has an unlimited pool of local incompetence to choose from. Go JESTs

because they are a loser franchise, because they never amounted to anything after Joe Namath. Because NYC, who knows.

Cronyism and nepotism.

Please tell me I can FB share this!!!!!!!! :D

Mort doesn't agree with that strategy. He chose to stick with Kensil, the Jet who leaked him the fake 11 of 12 report.
The NFL punished ESPN with a slate of weak MNF games because Oberman talked bad about Roger. Think ESPN is going to allow any retraction etc... http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/other...th-bad-monday-night-football-games/ar-AAcLUgP

"The first inkling of this popped up July 1 in a Hollywood Reporter story about Olbermann’s negotiations with ESPN and the network’s desire for him to stop with the “commentary” on his ESPN2 program, especially when it pertained to Goodell:

And while NFL schedulers have historically worked to spread marquee matchups among its TV partners, the upcoming MNF schedule is viewed as one pointedly lacking in high-interest games, with multiple sources inside ESPN’s Bristol, Conn., headquarters believing the “terrible” schedule is “pay back for Simmons and Olbermann,” as one source put it.

On Wednesday, Ben Koo of Awful Announcing echoed that with similar reporting:

It was reported that ESPN’s lackluster upcoming slate of Monday Night games was believed to be retribution for Bill Simmons and Olbermann’s criticism of the league and Goodell. To that end, we’re hearing there are some ESPN folks who think the league denied a request for a Monday Night Football matchup featuring the Cowboys against a specific opponent due to Simmons and Olbermann’s vocal criticism this past year. ESPN does have one Cowboys game on this year’s schedule but comes late in the season and on the road versus a Redskins team that went 4-12 last season."

Cronyism and nepotism.

this pretty much sums it up.
if you follow the timeline somebody always has an uncle, or a sponsor, godfather, or w/e to get them in the door.

Extraordinary! Sunday night and Monday are the two nights when the NFL has the attention of the entire country but the league is so vindictive that it's willing to hurt its own brand and punish ESPN by giving them lousy games. Every day, I am more convinced that the NFL is run by a group of 14-year-old passive aggressive mean girls.

Here's what I don't get: these e-mails exist, they happened in real life. Pats council was getting repeatedly stonewalled by the league, they were told it wasn't in anyones best interest to release the correct numbers (huh?) and they let the Patriots get absolute annihilated by the press...based on FALSE DATA THE LEAGUE LEAKED!

I will never, ever understand how or why Kraft trusted Goodell after the real numbers were published. I just can't get by that fact...three months of hysteria caused by his office leaking bad info to the media and he trusts the man after having a sit-down or two with him? I just don't get it and likely never will.

Seeing the little that we have of the inner workings of this investigation and what the Patriots were going through, I can't comprehend why Kraft didn't go scorched earth on these assholes once he saw the real numbers in the Wells report.

EDIT: that said, I do have faith now that FINALLY Kraft has seen the light, that his relationship with Goodell is over. I can only hope his influence among owners is strong enough, and this evidence is presented to owners in such a way to convince them that Goodell is a train wreck and can annihilate any franchise on a whim; the Saints will certainly be able to back up Kraft's claims. Kraft, PLEASE get a strong contingent of owners to burn Goodell and his Jets buddies to the ground!
Well maybe there are other emails not related to this case which kraft didnt want out. I dont know. These guys are all in it together. They change tunes to fit their purpose -to satisfy the fans, to satisfy the league , whatever works.

Nah, just a Jets logo gif that google introduced me to. Had a little free time last night so I put it together for some easy laughs.
