The emails are nice but unless and until Kraft contests the draft picks, it means doodly squat. The process was a sham and embarrassment to the league. The consequences should all be vacated, and at a minimum the people responsible should be relieved of their responsibilities in disciplinary proceedings.

I think contesting the draft picks are on the back burner at the moment waiting for the outcome of the current court case. If Brady wins in court and his suspension is thrown out that would be the time to start discussing draft picks. IMO

My hope is that during the time this is in court dirty little secrets will be revealed that would shine a spotlight of clarity on this whole concocted witch hunt.

There's nothing I would like more than this to happen...

But if the Ray Rice fiasco didn't cost him his job, then no singular incident will...the whole world got to watch the video that cost Rice 2 games, and even after the Mueller investigation he got to keep his job. It's only the cumulative number of incidents that will cost him his job, when he'll have angered most of the owners. He has lost Kraft and probably Benson already, and I guess a few more we're not aware of.

Maybe the players will put their pants for the next bargaining agreement, and decide they won't negotiate until the owners get rid of Goodell. But that's wishful thinking...

He pushed all his chips to the middle on Brady. If the ruling is that he procedural violated the CBA numerous times as Kessler claims, and then his office is exposed as a vengeful, leaking, corrupt group that has hidden the truth and created this mess out of nothing, it is far worse than the Rice situation, which he simply lied his way out of.

Agreed this would be far worse than the rice situation. The idea that the commissioner and his cronies would try and destroy one of the all time greats and smear a franchise for personal reasons would give the NFL a black eye for a long time akin to the Blacksox scandal in 1919.

Yet few would view it as such. Because of "deflator" and "destroyed" and hatred for anything Patriots.

And thats why goodell the Public Relations guy put those headlines out there. In the short term he wins, but in the long term will will come back to bit him. I said yesterday that in the end the truth will come out, that was before the e-mails. Roger the Dodger will end up resigning in disgrace.
