Patriots publish emails to nfl asking to correct false deflategate reports

Pash's first response seems to deliberately misunderstand Robyn's complaint from her original correspondence. **** move for sure, but inexcusable for someone at an exec level to behave like that. Especially given the high road response in his final email.

What must the rank and file at 345 think about working for these assholes.

Deliberate misunderstanding is a huge part of adversarial business communication, legal and PR alike.

I know nothing about the legal side of things, but I get the feeling that making these public is serving two goals. The obvious one is a PR counteroffensive against the league, which is all well and good. However, in making them public, is the team supporting a Brady defamation suit in the only way it can? If Brady sues the NFL league office for defamation then the Patriots are essentially defendants. Email exchanges like this are not anything that Brady or his lawyers would be aware of and the Pats couldn't really just offer evidence to the people who are suing the league. However, if the evidence was already part of the public record then NE isn't directly supporting Brady's suit but still get him some supporting evidence.

Don't know if that's valid in any way, but it seems reasonable to my uninformed mind.

Wrong. The Patriots would not be defendants. The Clubs are franchises and considered separate entities from the League office. You can pick and choose who you include in a law suit like this.

McNally goes defamation first as it's easier to prove. Brady follows up (assuming the way is paved/greased). They don't have to win, but getting the NFL front office exposed will cost all owners some credibility among the fans.

This is the battle that the 32 have been looking at and this will hit them where it counts. Commissioners can come and go, but black eyes on the league will be dangerous for them.

...and there should be no confusion.

Jeffy Pash is a douchbag of epic proportions.

His only saving grace that I know of is that he knows and occasionally admits it (notably to Tom Curran).

they probably think they aren't getting any pizza

Here's the elephant in the room.
You have all seen the emails and the arrogance displayed by Pash et. al.
Can you tell me you are confident that there are not efforts underway to somehow, someway derail the Pats playoff hopes? You don't think these absolutely corrupt, Patriots hating league officials won't try something else this season?

If I had speculated about the psi sting last summer you would have thought Joker had seized my account.

I expected that it the SB. But . . .

I wonder emails liek these prompted people like pash to edit the report to hold the pats guilty. They took out their anger to the emails by punishing them. Not saying the pats and glaser were wrong to tee of on Pash. He absolutely deserves it. But wonder if these things went on in the final judgement.

The result would have been the same either way. I know it, you know it.

Do you think Jeffrey Pash will surrender his laptop if the Patriots demand he turn it over for inspection?

No i think he will destroy it and claim he has every right to as a private citizen.

Correct but the Pats' hope was NFL backs ESPN on a retraction and put this to bed.

Hope is a dangerous word...

Back from my ban.

I love these emails. Love them. However, how does this fit into the Judges rhetoric statement? Or does that only pertain to Brady and the NFL?

The final judgement was pre-determined it didn't matter what James or Glaser said. Look what taking the nice conciliatory route got Kraft.

He will claimed he destroyed it because he upgraded to windows 95.
