Major updates to the report, including email string with NFL over the erroneous information leaked. I've read that doing this is supposedly in contravention of the league constitution, so the Pats seem to be taking a risk. You aren't supposed to do this if you're a team in the NFL. Which means, at least to me, that Kraft wasn't entirely full of hot air.

Feel free to merge this with the other thread.

it basically puts the league on blast saying "alright fine, you don't want to treat us with the same integrity and allow lies to flow freely? here are our correspondences, the light will illuminate the darkness *****"

Good for them. The more they do to expose the failed BS of a farce sting operation, the better. This is truly ridiculous.

Gloves off. No rules, no policies, lets go medieval.

Yep, put it all out there. If they aren't going to follow rudimentary ethical standards, it's time for us to get out the f@#ing ammunition and take these mothers out without mercy. Napalm. Scorched f--g earth. Take out their entire family.

Looks like Kraft is starting to back up his words with actions. Would love to see the league burn.

I think this may end with Goodell losing his job.

I guarantee the people involved in the league office not only have a "tail" right now but are likely targets for strategic hacking of any and all devices they use.

God I hope so!

It seems like he has decided that this case is going to define him.

Right now it seems his reign is being defined by Pash, Kensil, Vincent and his own inability to understand the CBA and how to do his job.
If Kesslers legal position is right, this is going to get thrown out of court because Goodell handled it like he has no clue. Then when they come after Pash, Kensil, and the utter incompetence of Vincent with the authority he has been given, Goodell won't survive.

I predict that in 60 days the 'other 31' view Goodell as an embarrassment and liability.

Patriots say released emails are only "to illustrate." I think Patriots are warning NFL there are many more emails.
The emails are nice but unless and until Kraft contests the draft picks, it means doodly squat. The process was a sham and embarrassment to the league. The consequences should all be vacated, and at a minimum the people responsible should be relieved of their responsibilities in disciplinary proceedings.

There is no way Goodell will lose his job over this. He has gained too many owners' confidence by coming down hard on Brady and the Pats. This whole deflategate thing is music to the ears of every NFL team.
I don't think it is music to all their ears. Some owners have started to make their dissatisfaction with deflategate known. Spending too much money on it.

I can imagine that actions like these will spawn inter league phone calls from owner to owner. Hopefully resulting with Kraft saying "look Jerry, he didn't do it. I'm sure of it".

There's nothing I would like more than this to happen...

But if the Ray Rice fiasco didn't cost him his job, then no singular incident will...the whole world got to watch the video that cost Rice 2 games, and even after the Mueller investigation he got to keep his job. It's only the cumulative number of incidents that will cost him his job, when he'll have angered most of the owners. He has lost Kraft and probably Benson already, and I guess a few more we're not aware of.

Maybe the players will put their pants for the next bargaining agreement, and decide they won't negotiate until the owners get rid of Goodell. But that's wishful thinking...

but the important owners like jones and mara and most certainly bisciotti are thrilled. really kraft is on an island by himself.

Is there anyone in boating distance of Kraft's island? heck it might even qualify as a continental land mass.
  • 6 recent superbowl appearances (7 in total)
  • 4 superbowls wins (the most recent being this last year)
  • Best coach in the league
  • Best QB of his generation and I would dare say best ever to play the game (but that's me).
  • and not to forget....
  • 11 of 12. The number of playoff appearances over the last 12 seasons. (The real 11 of 12. i'm sure that was what was on Kensil's mind when he thought 11 of 12...surely, he did).
