Breaking Story of NFLPA-NFL Expedition Motion

This sounds good to me. Get this thing over with once and for all. I really think that we will finally have a victory and get this suspension tossed but I'm crossing my fingers.

So if it doesn't get resolved by than what happens?

Not sure what this means, we need an actual labor law attorney to translate.

Judge Berman has to agree to the expedited briefing schedule. If he does not (which is very possible) Brady's team will most likely file for an injunction.

The judge will either approve or deny the motion.

If he approves it, then the briefings will happen as proposed and the judge will issue a decision by 4 Sept (why else would he grant the motion if he wasn't going to do his part?).

If he denies the motion then presumably the NFLPA will seek an injunction/TRO and things will take place on the standard schedule.

Either way, Volin will say it's bad for Brady, because his lawyer friends at Google said so.

Steph Stradley seems to think this all makes sense and that the schedule is doable.

The sentence that seems to have confused Dimwit is probably: "NFLPA and NFL cross move to vacate and confirm the suspension"

He thinks that means the NFLPA moved to confirm the suspension rather than what it DOES mean which is the league moves to cofirm and the NFLPA moves to vacate the suspension.

To answer a question I've been getting: This does not mean they are settling. It means they have agreed to litigate - quickly. #DeflateGate

MCI should just be muzzled.

I say that not because of his opinion, but because he is simply misreporting.

At this point, his silence would be good for mankind.

dear judge, please throw this bogus suspension out.

@shmessy if you don't want two seperate threads...could you at least change the title of this thread. I'm removing all of Ben Volin's tweets.

I think Ben broke the last straw. Found this on Google and it allegedly he's being deported.

One thread. Two threads serves WHAT purpose?

But per your request, I've edited the title.

Tell you what, WEEI has been KILLING 98.5 on this story. The Felger/Mazz reign is all but over.

Is Mazz talking about Wade Miley?

Just want to say Thank You to the attorneys on this board who have been doing a great job interpreting this stuff and giving the lowdown on how this process works. It's been really helpful to those of us laypeople. Thank you.
