So does this mean he's giving in? This worries me...a ton. A metric ton. No way the negotiation goes to 0 games.

Not good..

Does this just mean League and PA are agreeing to have this taken care of asap ?

EDIT. I misinterpreted the post. Sorry.

Both NFL and NFLPA have met and agreed to an expedited process requesting a final decision by 9/4. This would end the case before the season, one way or another, once and for all.

And expedited process doesn't work in Bradys favor does it? Unless, the Mortenesen stuff triggered something.

He still wants to file a lawsuit. The NFLPA and NFL both want an expedited briefing schedule to argue their points (plus oral argument), and the decision to be rendered prior to the season (hence an injunction would be unnecessary). I'm a lawyer.

That's not what it means. The NFL/NFLPA are asking for the judge to rule on the case by Sept. 4th. If the judge declines then they'll ask for the injunction.

I don't think so. I think both sides are requesting that the court rule the case by September 4th, so they aren't requesting the injunction.

Sounds good to me.

I wonder if the leaks about other owner's disapproval has something to do with this.

Guess goes more to my understanding thst the legal system needs an overhaul. In my world, judge see the relevant basic facts and says here is an injunction while we work through it. Then a ruling at a later date. Don't see how you can get an injunction after a ruling.

Damn lawyers. :D

NEWS: NFLPA files motion expaining that Brady no longer wants to file a lawsuit and seek an injunction

What a MORON that MCI is. There's NOTHING in that that states Brady "no longer wants to file a lawsuit...." whatsoever.

Is he really THAT mentally challengged to believe that his readership is that stupid?

Literally a 6th grade brain thinking he can make stories up at will.

lol at the panic, Im pretty sure this just means the NFLPA is comfortable with the judge just ruling on the case asap and getting it thrown out.
