Breaking: Mort Backs Out; Dennis Claims Kensil As the Source ofthe Bad Numbers

I'm surprised not one post has talked about what a GOOD thing Mort backing out was. Top deflategate news today is Mort being unwilling to address false info fed to him by NFL. I think that just helps the narrative and if this particular story has any legs, wouldn't be surprised to see the NFL counter with another leak.

It would've been better if mortensen had retracted and named Kensil himself. Which was never gonna happen. So yes a small win in what's seemed like months of losing in nfl court .

Those of you who use Twitter should think of setting up a #tellusmort type of situation, and spreading this all around the net. Pound Mort and ESPN with demands, and spread the word that ESPN and Mort won't come clean.
I don't twit and I don't myface. :(

I said this a long time ago...........ultimately, someone in the NFL front office is going to hang for this.

goodell's out is Kensil, and all goodell needs is plausible deniability about knowing the actions at the AFCC beforehand....in fact, I'd bet goodell already has a counter-action in place in the event the NFL front office gets nuked

Well, seeing that Rog-set set the "standard" with us, and the Saints in "Bountygate" that ignorance was "NO EXCUSE", on part of the organizations when supposedly things went on, with out them knowing it, then logic only dictates that the same standard should apply to him as well. If his minions in the front office were doing something nefarious to damage the Patriots and Brady, He (Rog-Jet) should be held to the same standard the set forth for the organizations in matters like this. Therefore, a heavy penalty should be applied to Rog, up to and including termination as commissioner, charges of unfair business practices, and abuse of power.

Trending on FB. On Twitter Mort is getting killed.

Kensil connection to Jets is also making appearances.

The tide is turning, after seeing numerous tweets reporting that owners support Goodell, today we have this.

Smith said he heard that Kraft backed down in May because there was an agreement after Spygate that if Belichick was caught doing something again, he would be banned (it was implied for life, but Smith later said he did not hear it was for life) and Goodell threatened the ban.

It seems like a BS report because Kraft's shot at Goodell two days ago would have put Belichick back in Goodell's crosshairs otherwise.

That doesn't make sense though, because the penalties were already announced, and BB was already cleared by Wells.
Sounds like a leak designed to make the Patriots look bad that has no basis.

What could Goodell do? If Kraft appealed, say appeal rejected and Belichick banned for life, even though he was cleared of doing anything?

I wish I had a dollar for every time someone said the tide was turning.
But, this is more important than public opinion. If the owners tell Goodell to settle, he'll have to do that.

I just heard Volin say that we should be hearing that Brady will be dropping the suit soon. He was talking with the other local mediots about Don Yee. Didn't hear the whole conversation and was laughing too hard after he said it to get the context.

In Minnesota, see he was right. What an idiot he is. Love seeing Felger basically being left on local Pats hater island with this fool alone.

Florio just said on his radio show that he's working on a post on this topic.

He told me the story a couple of of months ago over dinner in NYC. The family member was an embedded executive marketing consultant so that person had some substantial visibility.

It makes sense. Ties together a lot of statements, history and what has been reported.
Interesting story, thanks for sharing.

Makes you wonder...Kensil was hired before cameraplacementgate, right? Would he have been in any position of authority with the NFL that would allow him to blow that out of proportion too? It really doesn't take much to turn something from a spark to a forest fire when the right people in the media (read: anyone at ESPN) and certain 'facts' are presented in a certain way.

think a defamation suit will be filed today??? I freggin hope so!!

hidemyass keeps logs for up to two years. Private Internet Access keeps no logs and is only something like $7 a month or $40 a year.

Didn't PIA give up a hackers details? Or was that hidemyass? I can't remember.

Could you translate that for the legal illiterates like me, :D
Basically they want expedite the motion practice (motions that discuss the legal merits of each side) instead of an injunction. Therefore the judge would potentially reach a decision prior to the start of the season and an injunction wouldn't be necessary.
