@jeffphowe: McCourty spent 5-10 minutes teaching Darryl Roberts during positional drills.

Roberts has to make this team guessing who he pushes off the roster will be tough wouldn't be surprised to have him play safety as well as cornerback to take a roster spot from your Wilson,Harmon,Ebners.
Interesting choice. We would seem to need CBs much more than Safeties. We drafted a Safety high and return our 4 top safeties from last year. If there is guy shining at CB let's leave him there please.

No way will Roberts be tried at Safety. Asinine for someone to even think that.

Man, if Richards' athleticism can match his intelligence he will wind up a great pick.

Rodney Harrison once said something to the effect of "it doesn't matter how fast you are if you don't know where to go."

Jordan Richards blanketed Gronk on an INC in the end zone. Second time in two days the rookie has stuck out.

I'm not defending the pick in ANY way but it would be funny if he ended up being a good player.

You could always have got him later but if he plays at or above his pick status it is hard to be THAT mad. We will see.

Don't worry. I can guarantee you this: Now that we lost our 1st round pick for 2016, we won't be making any more crazy picks in the 2nd round anymore

I hope at least

I'm very frustrated and sad re the 2016 first rounder. Spring fun is gone for a year.

Maybe it won't turn out so bad. Gronk was a 2nd round pick...and he turned out to be Hall of Fame-bound player.

The way the League has treated the Patriots, I suspect that they've created bad karm for themselves, and it will come back to haunt them... just wait...you'll see

My point is a 2 way player mainly defensive back but able to fill in as a fourth safety.
It doesn't hurt to learn both positions this way he knows where his help is and understand the defense more as a whole.
Just a way to get a high upside player on the roster as opposed to keep a player whos already reached the top of his ability and is nothing more than a fringe player.
I don't understand how my thought is assnine in any stretch.
However he is being roasted today but that's technique we will see if he develops further.

Think about it for a second: imagine if Garoppolo has to play and does well.

Either the Pats stick with Brady and trade Garoppolo, or they're set at QB for the next decade. :)
