Lol, I should have known that happened to me yesterday ;) lol I'll just go with I'm a little slow this morning; )

Me too. Waking up at 7:45am for a non-event is stuff I did only many years ago. :D

With the ongoing case and "tone it down" order by Judge Berman I wonder how the NFL will respond?

Interesting about all the different things you can read into Mort's actual quotes. There is one I found VERY intriguing.

"Maybe when the lawsuit is settled, in Brady’s favor, I hope, we can revisit."

I found it telling that he stated" WHEN the lawsuit is settled in Brady's favor", not if. Is Mort telling us that he believes Brady will win the suit?

I also got to wondering why Mort set this up in the first place. Why was he going to set the record straight and break it on a Boston Radio station and not on his own? As we all have noted, Mort's report is clearly one of the centerpieces of the entire affair. What he says is going to be BIG news. So why not give that "scoop" to the network that he works with, instead of a local radio show in Brady's hometown????????!!!!!

I have to believe that Mort was going to spill the beans and end this entire fiasco before he was pressured into caving. However his comment about predicting Brady WILL win the suit, tells us a lot about what Mort REALLY thinks.

If Mortensen has information vital to this issue, and is threatening to keep it a secret until the lawsuit is over, that is not a good thing. Sounds like he is saying this could hurt the NFL so he will hide it until its too late.

Well let me just start off by saying.....I AM SO FRUSTRATED!!! I 've been calm and quiet the past few months even with my buddies always texting me when the fudged breaking news comes out...I've responded with "let's see what the courts say". to me Science & Ideal Gas LAW > False reporting & Speculation. It's called a "LAW" for a reason!

With all that said, could Mort be subpoenaed for the trial? Be forced to reveal source in court? It seems to me at this point, he is a pretty important player in this thing. thoughts?

Never did like the guy. Besides, I believe he hates the PATs.

As do I. I'm a 2 Point Conversion kind of guy, if you know what I mean.

I call him Chris 'Grain of Salt' Mortensen

That's up to the NFL. For its part, the NFLPA is just doin' like the man said: "I always have considerable difficulty approving any sealed documents, given the keen public interest in these matters and the public's right to know." Richard M. Berman, Judge, United States District Court, Southern District of New York, July 31, 2015.

Thou shall not bear false witness, Mortimer. Know it, learn it, live it, love it.
