It made USA Today

Mortensen was the writer of the infamous report, written the Wednesday after the AFC championship, that said an NFL investigation found that 11 of the 12 Patriots footballs were inflated 2 pounds per square inch below what’s required by NFL regulation. The Wells Report later found that only one football was deflated by nearly that much, while others were just under the standard inflation level.

Umm, what? Not a single ball was 2 psi under.

So the next question...did Troy Vincent also leak to Stephen A Smith the part about Belichick being one strike from being kicked out of the league?

In the end whether that be in a few weeks, months or years, the truth will come out. This is just to big a story with to many players and ego's involved to kept it under wraps. And in the end Brady and the pats will be vindicated.
I have waited long enough, since this story broke, not a single thing has happened that has been in the Pats favor. It has been blow after blow. I just can't understand how Brady and his people thought destroying a cell phone was a good idea.

that's a surprise reason?

I wonder how belichick will look when he's beating ass for 4 games with grapeoppolo
Most of today's show was anti-climactic, but at least they did name one name in calling Kensil "the lead dog" who leaked the false readings to Mort.

Does Whitlock think black athletes aren't rich?
I don't mind Whitlock. Sure he plays the race card a ton but let's face it, this country has a major race problem.

I have no problem with writes that make you think. I have problems with writer that are idiots.

Of course. All that stuff came from Troy Vincent. I don't imagine Stephen A. Smith is all that connected to the NFL otherwise.

Did you read the whole thing? It concludes that Brady and Kraft cheated and now are trying to muddy the waters.

This is what the "school of journalism" era has brought us to? Dreck like this?

Meanwhile, the Patriots continue to try and distract from the truth about Deflategate (most of the balls were underinflated) by citing the lack of truth (most were severly underinflated). And if anyone thinks the Mort report directly led to the Wells Report, they’re nuts. The court of public opinion — which was certainly swayed by the 11 of 12 report — had nothing to do with the NFL’s self belief in pursuing this matter. Most people thought Deflategate to be a witch hunt anyway. It wasn’t until Brady and Kraft made repeated mistakes that it turned into their Waterloo.

WTF is he talking about?

The consulted with the NFL's lawyers and got the green light to do. Do you understand now? Do you understand finally?

They made the NFL conspiracy the issue, they made a case that people on this site are aware of that the general public is clueless about, they even got the Kensil information out nationally via Profootballtalk. This is a great public service the PR war as opposed to the trashing and mindless hate being spewed by Felger squeaky shank Borges tangway and the NFL ball washers in the national media.

That is. BFD.

No doubt. This is what the NFL was afraid of once the IGL came out and Belichick had his 'Mona Lisa Vito' presser. Someone leaked false info that made the Patriots look flat-out guilty, and ever since the NFL had the IGL data they were in 'cover your ass' mode. I've said it all along, imagine if Wells' report--a truly unbiased report--said that the science is at best inconclusive and at worst exonerates the Patriots and while some circumstantial evidence exists the science suggests nothing happened? The story would shift back to the NFL, the lax enforcement of a rule no one cared about, the leaks painting the Pats in a bad light. It would fall HARD on Goodell, as it did in the Rice story. THAT'S why this has been spun so hard in the other direction, they have to have their fall guy, and 31 fan bases and owners are all to eager to burn the Patriots at the stake.

This is step #1 of moving the focus back to the NFL. This will never exonerate the Pats or Brady, never clear them in the minds of most fans, but hopefully some heat will be brought to Kensil, Gardi, Vincent, Pash and Goodell. HOPEFULLY.

I thought it was noteworthy enough to be its own thread. If that was poor judgment on my part, I apologize.

I appreciate this thread cuz all I wanted was to check the breaking news -- thx

Patience Grasshooper, this is like any other big scandal, the truth will prevail. As for bradys celll phone he was told by wells that they didn't need the actual phone just the numbers. AND they have all the info they needed from the two equipment guys.

Did you read the whole thing? It concludes that Brady and Kraft cheated and the Mortensen flap is just a side story.

Obviously not, and I'm an idiot for doing so. I just read the part I quoted, my apology.
