Judge Berman Speaks

Just curious if you were moved by Bob Kraft yesterday enough to forgive him...and maybe forget

I don't understand. He acting in a manner that damaged the team. Yesterday he agreed with my viewpoint, why would that change my viewpoint?

If Earnest Byner admits he fumbled should Browns fans forgive and forget?

If only Kraft had not caved in May. If he had stuck to his guns, the stupid league would have realised that they risked pissing off one of the most influential owners and I honestly believe Brady would not be in this predicament right now. Damn Kraft....

This logic is crazy. So now fighting the NFL is going to convince them to stop their persecution of Brady? How's that working for Tom Brady?

My point was that if Kraft was ready to go to battle, maybe the commish would have thought twice about coming down so harshly on Brady. Anyway, it is just an opinion, nothing more, we will never know for sure what would have happened if Kraft had decided to sue or threaten to sue the NFL back in May.

I think the team penalties and the Brady suspension were handed down at the same time.

It looks like the Judge doesn't even want the case, "the parties and counsel are directed forthwith actively to begin to pursue a mutually acceptable resolution of this case" just what the NFL was hoping.

That happens in most arbitration cases. Judges typically would much rather see a mutually-agreed to solution than one impose by the court.

I wouldn't take it as a positive or a negative thing. Just a thing.

innocent people go to prison. there are no absolutes in the law. and there are judges out there who make crazy rulings all the time.

So you are implying that it is possibly, even likely that the judge is a Jets fan and therefore will not rule on the evidence but on the uniform?

You are out of your mind.

the stupid league would have realised that they risked pissing off one of the most influential owners

Really? Seriously?

i didn't imply anything. I'm telling you that there are no absolutes in the law. I'm telling you that judges do crazy stupid things all the time. just watch the 6 o'clock news. is it possible that a judge would rule on something other than the facts of the case? in today's society you bet it is.
