The case will be heard in NY. MN judge orders it moved

Just so I'm clear here, there's no way a federal judge in NY can be impartial because of his (possible) fandom.

Christ, this board's going to be unbearable for months.

The timing of their actions indicates that the NFL played this one knowing the outcome, or at least with high expectations, at this point I believe that they have strong connections and made some moves.

It's time for the Brady team to make some noise, because it's like end of 3rd round taking a beat.

Just stick to my stomach the way its gone on. NFL is like the mafia. It controls everything. Doesnt matter how many counteer repports you write or context sites you publish. Just really mad.

I'm wondering about that as well. I've never appeared in a MA federal court but I've heard bad things.

How bad could it be? There no way it could be worse than a NY venue in this case, could it?

Plus, this whole blunder makes the NFLPA lawyers look stupid

[T]he Court sees little reason for this action to have been commenced in Minnesota at all. Brady plays for a team in Massachusetts; the Union is headquartered in Washington D.C.; the NFL is headquartered in New York; the arbitration proceedings took place in New York and the award was issued in New York. ...t makes sense the NFL would have commenced its action seeking confirmation of the award in the Southern District of New York. Why the instant action was filed here, however, is far less clear.

There's no way to know for sure. Their chances of being heard in Massachusetts might have been a lot better

Just stop!!!! This childish whining is ridiculous.
OK, I'll play this 6 year olds game....suppose the judge is a Giant fan??
Giant fans hate the Jets and Giant fans have a good history with Bill Belichick.

What say you kiddies???

You're right about one thing. This board is already unbearable with this kind of weepy nonsense.

Brady's team needs to get proactive now at least. Release something . Get/leak the arbitration minutes out even though it was agreed to be sealed. Get something out there. Everything else has been leaked and controlled by NFL.

I can't tell if you're yelling at me or agreeing with me.

Seriously. I was hoping PatsFans would be the only bearable sanctuary on the web. I could be wrong about that. I'm not saying we need to be blissfully optimistic but for Christ sakes people have already declared that "the case is doomed", "Brady is toast" etc etc. Good grief.

So are you saying that this isn't a setback for Brady?

How can you explain away a dozen CBA violations? You cannot suspend a player on equipment violation.

I don't know if it is. We have been making snap judgements on the judge who may or may not be inclined to take up this case and rule fairly on it. I've seen little indication that he will be inherently against the NFLPA. But I don't think it is time to wail that Brady's chances have taken some massive hit. Clearly it appears that the PA wanted it in MN but I don't believe it means game over because it is in NY.

Supposedly, the idea was that Brady would settle for one or two games in exchange for having the records sealed. No such agreement was reached.

IMO, because the league outsmarted the NFLPA and filed in NY first.

Yes because the NFLPA was suppose to know what fuhrer goodell was going to say in the appeal decision and have it already printed up and ready to submit.

No way to tell. It sounds, though, like they got about as pro-Brady a judge as they could hope for in that district (and drew a not-so-good one in MN).

I mean there was a confidentiality agreement to not release the artbiration meeting minutes.
