Kraft could still sue for team penalties, but he won't, because he's full of it

To all you Bob Kraft haters ... give it up.
Can you be better than the NFL and admit you were wrong about the man or
will you let your 'pre judging without all the facts butt' rule your face?
If the man sues he sues if not there's a reason so leave it alone. Haven't you maligned the man enough?
We were wrong? until he actually Does something he hasn't proven anything except that he can vacillate. He needs to bring it not just sing it.

It would be so much easier if this site was "StallionFans.com" and we were all fans of the St. Louis Stallions.

Damn that Bob Kraft.

Call it what you like, but if Krafty Bob comes out swinging hard for the NFLPA, it will be redemption in my books; and this is coming from a guy who has never really liked the guy or his family. IF he does that, it will take a lot of guts and might be the key to turning this whole saga of ****e into something meaningful; getting rid of the corruption in the NFL office. My problem; Bob has never seemed like a guy that will stand true to a cause whatever the cost; but maybe this is finally his time. The real FU would be to start a new league, taking Brady and Bill with him.

Jerry Jones was asked about Kraft/Brady. He is going on and on about what a great job Roger Goodell is doing as commissioner.
Rusty Coupe said:
Yup. That's Kraft's good buddy.

It can't possibly be correct that ol' Jerrah would knife Kraft in the back like that -- the Kraft supporters keep reiterating and assuring me what an amazingly influential owner Kraft is. Jones would never do that to someone who was so incredibly amazingly influential. Because of that incredibly amazing influence that Kraft wields over the other owners.

He is OWNER of Pats. After he capitulated i am fan of Brady, BB and other guys, who PUT THEIR lives for such a *****, not his team.
After spygate and then Rice, Peterson, he capituled on the guys who takes head shots for him and with the risk being vegetable after 40!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry is not an option for me.
Again spygate, Rice and Godell investing on himself?????, Incognito, Peterson, deflategate.
How can i defend him???????

Your rheteric is way over the top. Whether he appealed or not has absolutely nothing to do with football games, people getting hurt, etc. It only had to do with "fighting the unwinnable war". You wanted Don Quixote and you got a businessman who admits he was suckered and made the wrong choice. Forgiveness is a wonderful thing and, in this case, is the appropriate reaction. Perhaps you'll be able to forgive in time.

I'll say as well that any hope that Robert Kraft is going to sue the NFL is - and always has been - a pipe dream. The rules make it next to impossible and it wouldn't do any practical good anyway. Just acknowledge that there's nothing more Kraft can realistically do than what he did this morning. That was the only bullet in his gun and he shot it about as well as he could.

He lied. You bought it.

He is the biggest Godell supporter in all of the cases. Spygate, Ray Rice, Peterson, Hardy, even Incognito. HE is the owner who didnt comment any negative bout Godell decision bout this cases. On the contronary in some cases he publicly support Godell decision.
Backing Godell after Ray Rice video tape and then Godell investing himself. After the video made public Kraft should say Godell who. I dont wanna comment on Deflategate. JETS fans trying hurt Brady after they didnt have a chance in games, they played against him. Give me a break.
Kraft can only repair this by suing, but we all know that this is show for naive fans, cause he doesnt have any other option.

Wat Kraft is doing is like me, after some hugelikeWilfork bodyguard throws me out of the club in front of a girl with no reason. Me like: I am going to kick him and going back with the girl. And then me standing infront of him, saying oh sorry dude and leave. ANd then 1 km away i am going like, i could handle him. Boring

jerry jones statement. Compares his salary cap violation to this

That's the, "Thanks for backing me up a couple of years ago, Kraft" response from Jerrah.

Then it is just semantics; perhaps he should not sue first but rather appeal the decision. He should have the right to change his mind... does he? Then he can go to court and sue.
I am nothing but an internet lawyer, but I have to believe the following:

I doubt Kraft's announcement that he will not appeal or sue is legally binding. It probably would have been legally binding if it was part of some deal, and the other party upheld their end of the bargain. But, despite initial speculation to the contrary, it is clear there was no deal between parties.

There is probably some sort of Statute of Limitations, but those are usually measured in years, not weeks. So while he lost his chance to appeal the decision to the league office (which would have been just a bit fat waste of time), I doubt the Federal Statute of Limitations has passed.

I'll say the same thing here I said about the desire to see Brady sue for defamation: The Patriots have already been given a body cavity search, so I doubt there is all that much that would come out in discovery if they sued. I would sure love to see the show on the other foot, so to speak.

Something tells me he is trying to recall word-for-word something that Kraft said to him a couple years ago and throwing them back in Kraft's face as best he can.

I don't know about all this. I mean what is the point of filing a lawsuit you know you cannot win? Why would Kraft do that?

I think he isn't filing now for the same reason he didn't in May:

he knows he'd lose.

Jerry is just doing exactly what Kraft himself did for Goodell during the Rice fiasco. Jerry isn't a snake any more than Kraft is; they're both all too eager to throw a lifeline to a terrible, inept commissioner as long as someone else is getting hammered.

yes.....it's called the 'nuclear option' and it would be a doozy...........EVERYONE involved would be required to testify..........it could wind up with everyone being guilty of something.....pats, nfl front office, other owners.......they could say that kraft would lose alot of friend, but it appears he doesn't have any anyway
...and, how about Subpoena all phones, of ALL involved from the day Brady said "They should check the rule book". Go on a media frenzy. Burn down the house.

No. As a huge fan of the team who has bought in on so many levels and given so much time and money to this organization, his backing down and gullible, idiotic acceptance of an unfair punishment is unforgivable. I hope he resigns and gives the team to someone else because the fans should not forgive him for this offense. He has caused everyone to be ashamed and defensive for rooting for his football team.

It should be a lesson to never back down and "compromise" with people who lie to you. Although the scope of this is laughably small and this may be a bad analogy, this is similar to France "compromising" with Germany and saying "there will be peace in our time." The underhanded lies and agenda against the Pats and Brady were obvious from day one. It takes a real fool to believe that they would be placated and come around by giving them more concessions.

That said, I believe that everyone is capable of redemption and won't rule it out for Bob. Right now, though, a press release is a far cry from redemption.

Was that before or after the Nazis bombed Pearl Harbor?

Sorry, I couldn't resist. That was the British, not the French :)

I can understand why Kraft will not sue Goodell and the League. However I would expect to earn back the support of the fan base that he makes Goodell's life a living hell starting with his salary. Then I will believe he is sincere.

The ship has long sailed on a law suit, IMO. The only redemption will be exposing Goodell and his front office of HOODLUMS for the scumbag liars that they are. Kraft should launch his own investigation to find the truth.
