EXACTLY!! That's why you put the "broken" phone in a drawer somewhere and you get another phone.
When you are the target of a very high profile investigation and a MAIN sticking point of that investigation is your phone and the calls/texts that were made on that phone you DO NOT dispose of that phone because when you do you open yourself up to all kinds of speculation.....and deservedly so.

I STILL cannot believe Brady was that f&#king stupid.

That boy does not live in the real world. A naive dope.
I want to know what he got that new puppy for. Awfully suspicious somebody would need a dog unless they're trying to keep out intruders....now why would an innocent person need to keep out intruders? I'm not saying Brady is doing anything illegal or unjust I'm just asking questions.

Well the fact that Brady has a letter from his cell provider, goddell has this also, states Brady DID try to retrieve all of his texts for the nfl they said they couldn't that's why they went other route. Hey its his policy to delete all texts and recycle cell phones due to privacy issues...given how much "information" has leaked I don't blame him one bit. The word destroyed was just said to make it look really bad.

FYI:

The Minnesota judge that drew this case also drew the anti-trust lockout case in 2011 and recused himself. Wouldn't surprise me if he recuses himself in this case also.

so does everyone just assume everyone keeps old text threads on their phones? I hate clutter on my iphone and constantly delete all text threads. I see other people's phones with all the threads and find it ridiculous...not to mention the space it takes up.

Heard Dale Arnold say that the reason was that his son was a lawyer for one of the parties.

Did he also say how Doty is retired? Every time I've listened to them and he's brought Arnold says how Doty is retired.

But my reason on why he might recuse himself is because Doty is the one that has handled the player vs NFL cases

Yea it kinda depends for me. If its people I txt s lot with (wife, daughter, friends, etc) I leave the thread open.

If it's topical with a transient, I delete them.

Isn't that an old riddle? Like the lady couldn't operate on the boy because that's her son.

It is so funny how people trust the word of the nfl office over Brady. The main point in this whole debacle has been deflated footballs. It has gone from psi levels to a phone. Disregarding physical science to just believing all the stuff that comes out of the league office. They are making fools out of everyone and they don't even realize it.

I didn't hear him say that specifically.

I know Doty is old but him being retired is news to me. The website says he is still active.

Lol.

Dale said Dowd's son was one of the lawyers so he recused himself from the case due to conflict of interest.

You sound suspicious.o_O

No that is a different case which his son worked for.

He was the judge that presided over Jesse Ventura's defamation lawsuit vs American Sniper Chris Kyle(no relation) the jury awarded Ventura 1.8 million. That ought to win some more points with the general public.

I think it's often been stated here in the past several weeks that Judge Doty is "semi-retired," whatever the hell that's supposed to mean. His caseload has at least decreased significantly.

It seems as though he'd still be a candidate to be drawn in the pool, but I haven't seen anyone be able to get confirmation of that one way or the other.

Wow did a quick read of that case. Sound great for us. Brady should file a defamation case right after. Or at least the dorito dinks, I don't know why they wouldn't. They can't have that much dough and I'm sure a lawyer would be willing to do it for a cut of the case winnings and no upfront charge. Sooo much money to be had vs the NFL.

Many thought that was an impossible case to win.

Goodell* plays by his own rules. He makes them as he goes along. RG* & his Goons* had it in for TB from git'go and now Brady will get his chance. Would be funny if league* has more on their cell phones then what their tryin to pin on TB which I thought this was about PSIs like 6 months ago.

The dad of a childhood friend of mine is a semi-retired state judge. He's 71 and works cases per-diem. He also has the ability to pick and choose cases that he a) interests him and can rule intelligently and b) do not conflict with his personal calender
