That just makes it worse! Thanks for the depressing news. Not only are the other guys playing dirty, but, apparently, they're playing smarter than our guys.

All is not lost. If you're interested, my last post was a link to a decision explaining exceptions to the first filed rule.

It's discretionary and since it was pretty well publicized that the NFLPA and Brady would challenge any suspension, the court could see this filing as a prophylactic move by the NFL to "forum shop" in anticipation of litigation. In legal terms, it's what's known as a "**** move."

I'm waiting for our guys to pull a few "**** moves." The NFL is playing by New York Rules. Our guys should be playing just as dirty. I'm tired of being on the side of the Goody Two Shoes gang in this fight.

Ain't evil just grand?

It really is an agenda driven by pure evil. It's disgusting..

What is this word coming to when Tom Brady is being vilified as some monster.

It's helped feed an unwanted cynicism in me. Yay.

Any unbiased judge should see this for what it was.

There is so much corruption at the highest levels of society, and with the way this assault on the Patriots and Brady has continued to snowball has destroyed my confidence of even a judge from NY being impartial

I'm actually more worried the multi-billion corp NFL may have already timed and hand-picked a favorable judge to hear the ruling.

I.E. They know in advance the judge most likely to decide this ruling. Which is why the timing of the release is as such.

Goodell's hard on for Brady defies common sense.. what an idiot.

Are you kidding me? If this is allowed to move forward in a New York Court, it will get tossed before it's even heard. That's why this is potentially such a bad mistake by the NFLPA and Brady's lawyers. If they really let themselves get ****ed like this, they should be tarred and feathered...after they've been waterboarded.

Of course they have! Which is why it would be such a massive **** up for our side not to have anticipated this if this is how it plays out.

the nflpa is weak.
they agreed to all of this **** about roger having all of this power

Brady/NFLPA could have every last bit ready to go and file as soon as they knew the decision but you can't beat the NFL to file their case. It's pretty simple if you and I had a 40 yard dash vs each other and we both can run it at the exact same speed you would expect us to cross the finish line together however if I were to be the one who game the starting Mark you would have no chance. You can only react to the event I however can go without reacting. That's what the NFL has just done our $1000 were not outsmarted it was never a level playing field.

Remember, though, it took 35 days for Goodell to make sure he is protecting the integrity of the game, right? Not 35 days to make sure you get that court filing ready to go, nosiree.

What an absolute ******* Goodell is.

So, you're saying they were ****ed from the beginning and there was no way to overcome that? I'll let the other litigators out here sort that out with you, as I am not qualified to do so.

Enough with this stupid rhetoric that the nflpa screwed up. nfl played dirty on this one, they had to wait until a ruling was made to file but the nfl was filing something right as the ruling came out.

I chose my words carefully, so hold the "stupid rhetoric" rhetoric. I said "potentially" and "if they really let themselves..." If you want to discuss the matter with me in a civil tone, I'd be happy to do so.

We're the good guys. Stay on the high road and hope that there is some force in the universe that looks out for us.

the argument made here could be that goodell is not independent and that the process was not independent or unbiased

if the judge were to find that goodell was not independent, then he will have done most of tom brady's work for him
