*****

Honestly, folks, when I started this thread I had NO idea that Kraft was going to explode this.

I was just happy to be having a new year begin and to hear BB do his monotone thing.........

As it turned out, the year just fast forwarded to Christmas Day within 3 minutes......

********

I kinda wish Bill would give a quick 1 liner in support of Brady and then move on.
That sig is all win.

Apologizing with an explanation of his prior position and why he now understands it was wrong is not being able to make up your mind?

Maybe you're more forgiving but his attitude today would of been best served on the day he bent over backwards and took a spanking on tv

I for one think he's pandering to the pats fans who he no doubt knows he's lost considerible favor with.

It's so easy to say today he did what he did with the expectstations ut would help brady blah blah blah but I don't believe for one second he'd do it any differnt if he got to do it again in an hour.

What he's saying may be what he really believes but it's his fault for not appealing. No Rodgers because he didn't reduce bradys suspension

LMFAO:

Reporter: "Can you explain why the team keeps getting in these cheating situations?"
BB: "It's already been addressed."
Reporter: "Can you elaborate a little?"
BB: "No."
Reporter: "Why not?"
BB: "Bob just addressed it."
Reporter: "But a lot of people have questions... The public, fans--"
BB: "Bob just addressed all that. Maybe you should go back and look at your notes."
I wish I could like this statement more...

Well..this is to suck the fans back in during training camp and for opening night. His intention might be right (Iam not sure ) but he surely didnt believe the NFL was going to do anything different after he accepted punishment

This iam sure is our LOCAL media .Nowhere but boston we would start asking its own team and coach questions like this . Clearly working on some cheating story and knowing BB wont answer this, writing on slamming the coach. And I hate these Aholes talking like they are the voice of the fans.
To the reporter: We like bb this way when he gets after you without giving anything.
The season has begun in new england.

Does Bob still have legal options?

I assume he can still sue to get the picks back? The $1m?

Any Matlock's out there know?

I think my favorite part was( I think it was Shaughnessy)

"Can you elaborate?"

BB "no"
Was that entire sequence Shank? Classic that Belichick told him to look at his notes. :D

Tim Jennings retweeted Greg A. Bedard

It worked. Pats fans are drooling over his comments.

Tim Jennings added,

Greg A. Bedard @GregABedard
There was no deal in May. Reported that then. He can't act scorned. Kraft was hoping that would earn pts. Trying now to save face to fans

You really think that he would take the exact same action knowing it would lead to the same outcome?

Changing your mind in the presence of new information is not "pandering" nor is it "flip-flopping", it is simply being a rational, honest human being.

Bedard is acting surprising stupid. The fact that there was no deal in no way means that Kraft couldn't have thought his actions would engender good will from the league toward Tom.

I don't even know what Jennings is saying. Maybe that Pats fans are morons and easily led? Does he realize that the NFL has that same opinion about him?

Kraft still believes that it is people who work for Goodell, and not Goodell himself, to blame from Patriots perspective. Beyond foolish

Goodell didn't step in and correct initial report. Goodell approved the discipline. Goodell upheld the discipline. It's his bleeping show

I can't take Kraft seriously on this until HE starts telling the truth on this. He's taking the weak, easy way out.

I love BB, but why is he at a press conference about Deflategate, if he's not gonna comment about it. It should have been called a Robert Kraft press conference, nothing to see here, these are not the drones you are looking for (Jedi wave).
He wasn't at a press conference about deflategate, he was at his regularly scheduled start of training camp press conference. What the hell man?

Opening night ceremony, Kraft pushes Goodell away from the mic. "Roger, gtfo of my stadium."
I doubt Goodell will have the balls to show up, but if he does, I would dearly love to see him denied entry.

Give him slack if you want, but Bedard is 100% correct here.

Until Kraft goes after his little buddy, he hasn't changed a damn thing in my and most fans mind.

Stop talking. Start doing.

Couldnt he file a team and personal defamation case against the NFL for the damages?

I couldn't possibly agree with Bedard more. I'm absolutely stunned people can't see through this. This is a WWE caliber publicity stunt. They may as well have Hulk come out and tell the Undertaker he's coming for you.

Kraft: "Goodell, what're you gonna do brother?"

Please. He accepted a penalty, is taking no legal action, etc. He knows how the fans felt and he's trying to correct it because he's a good business man. He'd do the same darn thing over and over every time again and again. Burns me to a crisp.

He definitely needs action now. But you don't say what he just said without making permanent enemies in the league office and the other 31. He sounds like he may have finally learned his lesson and Brady's actions with him at the ring ceremony, at least to me, bear out that Brady was also under the assumption that Kraft may have capitulated to help Brady. But, again, action definitely needs to be taken now. At the very least, I want Goodell's legacy to suffer even more from this. The most I want is for him to lose his god damn job.
I really hope your right, i thought kraft was the best owner in the league and in boston sports history until he capitulated in march. For me to believe him he needs to stick to this new found anger, and he needs to do something. Buy space on national news papers to print what he said this morning, going on tv to do the same, spread this mornings message. He needs to threaten to resign from the tv committee, if not outright resign, he was the main man in aquiring the big revenue contracts with the networks. He needs to at least try and take legal action, he needs to fight for his team and its fans.
