Let's all forgive Bob Kraft

I just hope AndyJohnson is not mad at me anymore

Bob Kraft was guilty of being naive that there was something in it for him to go quietly......time to let Jonathan loose on Roger

Made the mistake of listening to analysis of Kevin Walsh of CNNSE. He still doesn't believe Brady because why wouldn't you give over your phone? He also thinks Brady's FB post in which he says "I did nothing wrong." is wordsmithing and if he didn't do it he would have said that. Can we add Walsh to the idiot list?
Kevin Walsh uses too much hair gel. His brain is toxic.

I'm still pissed off about that end zone ****tail bar that he removed 20 rows of real fans seats for this year.

It has a cheating spouse vibe to it though. He turns his back on those he should standing up for, gets treated like **** by his new squeeze, and now wants back in with the old . It seems disingenuous to me. And remember, last time goodell pulled this **** Kraft became his biggest supporter.

Don't assume malice when stupidity is an adequate explanation. At least, not the first time.

Okay, Bob I forgive you.

Great statement by Kraft, he really turned this thing around.

The appeal date is conveniently gone, and at the owners meeting when they should have been discussing getting rid of Goodell after another goat f*** Kraft hugged him and secured his job- again. The man simply cannot judge character, and he appears to have wild emotional swings. Next week he'll be licking Goodell's boot claiming he wants to save the league.

I'm glad He's currently in a fighting mood but don't get too excited, it's early in the day, his testosterone therapy probably hasn't worn off yet.

It's like he's an abused girl who keeps going back to her abusive boyfriend. Everyone else can see the guy is a monster, but she sees good in him, goes back to him, and gets beaten again. Everyone is rooting for this to be the final time.

This line, coming from one of thirty two says it all to me:

"I was wrong to put my faith in the league"

I have been on record as being disappointed by his May bomb, but I never wavered in my support of the guy that kept football and the Patriots in New England.

It's on now and he is far from done people.

I did waver in my support. His decision was wrong and it hurt this process. However for anyone that thinks this was a half assed apology and too late I think you are wrong. He basically called out the league and put the spotlight on the false reports put forth by the NFL and basically called the league a bunch of liars that turned a blind eye to everything Patriots. Realigning the focus on where it needs to be instead of the cell phone. And two apologies to the fans and organization.

He came off as sincere and angry and I hope he follows through with this asap.

I don't know, I haven't heard or seen what everyone is talking about other than this thread, so I'll reserve judgement till I do. It has a cheating spouse vibe to it though. He turns his back on those he should standing up for, gets treated like **** by his new squeeze, and now wants back in with the old . It seems disingenuous to me. And remember, last time goodell pulled this **** Kraft became his biggest supporter.

I forgive him. He owned his mistake, backed Brady, and called out Gödel and the league as well as Mortenson and ESPN. There really isn't much more he can do at this point but I would like to see him bring back Jastremski and MacNally as a F.CK YOU to the league. And if Gödel decides he is coming to Foxboro he should make sure he and his wife get the worst seats in the house.

I'm proud that he came out with this statement.

I personally believe that he should file a defamation lawsuit against the NFL today. The Patriots should also start to attack Goodell personally.

There is one thing that we can do which will make things interesting. The season opener is big, I would threaten to forfeit that game and refuse to play

He would probably lose the team lickity split if he did that.

Robert Kraft screwed up, and he can't change that. What he can do is acknowledge it, apologize for it, and do the right thing for his team and fans going forward. Trust is earned, not restored. Based on what I saw and heard in the press conference today, he is on the right track.

Talk is cheap. I need to see action before I'll believe this is anything other than a sleazy trying-to-have-it-both-ways PR move.

I'm still pissed off about that end zone ****tail bar that he removed 20 rows of real fans seats for this year.

I have agreement in essence with all of those sentiments.

I do not and never did expect Bob to "sue" the NFL so that's off the table for me. The war of words needs to continue, with "vigah" as a former President used to say.

sorry but no.

Fool me once(cameragate) shame on you, fool me twice(deflategate) shame on me. I'm not buying that Statement. Kraft has bent over for goodell when push came to shove twice, until kraft throws down I'm not interested in his apology.

You guys are too sweet. Too much damage done to accept such a late half assed apology.

It certainly wasn't a half assed apology. It is probably the harshest statement about the League by an owner in league history. That is significant. Is it enough to amend his huge miscalculation in trusting Goodell and backing down? Not really, but it is a huge step in the right direction.

Well that's a start....dumb decision by him to think he needed to do that.

BTW, Bedard is not doubting Kraft. He is merely pissed that Kraft didn't go after Goodell personally. Everyone here saw the first tweet and assumed he was dumping on Kraft as untruthful in general, but read on :

I can't take Kraft seriously on this until HE starts telling the truth on this. He's taking the weak, easy way out.

@GregABedard What do you believe is "the truth"? Honest question.

That Goodell is out of his depth as commissioner and needed to go a long time ago. https://twitter.com/dfresh429/status/626405692774162432…
