Let's all forgive Bob Kraft

I'm still mad at him, but after he has admitted his mistake, apologized to the fans, explained why he did what he did, and then slammed "those in the League Office", I do forgive him.

For those of us in the dark here, what was his explanation?

Going off my own crappy short-term memory here, but he essentially said he acted in good faith and tried to work things out with Goodell without the lawyers around. He said he chose not to fight because he thought it would help Brady get exonerated. He said he now realizes that was a big mistake and he was wrong to trust those in the league office.

Yeah he ****ed up big time it's going to take a lot more than a PC to change some people's minds, but it's a good start.

IMO Kraft was basically saying he had some level of assurance his dropping the fight would ensure a Brady exoneration, or at least a suspension reduction, and Goodell went back on his word. He didn't literally say this, but that was kind of the impression I got.

Robert Kraft screwed up, and he can't change that. What he can do is acknowledge it, apologize for it, and do the right thing for his team and fans going forward. Trust is earned, not restored. Based on what I saw and heard in the press conference today, he is on the right track.

He stood up like a man and admitted the he F'd up. He ripped the league for stabbing him in the back. He brought up the lie leaked to Mortenson that went uncorrected.

Great Performance.

I wouldn't be surprised if he changed his mind about suing the league.

basically a giant middle finger to nfl in a sad/depressed vibe. feeling of betrayal. he stands by brady and he did all that crap in good faith that there won't anymore crap after it.

he must be pissed that he lost a draft pick and a $ for absolutely nothing.

OTOH, it does say something about how highly he thinks of Brady if he thinks that getting Brady back for those four games was worth potentially giving up a first-round draft pick.

He certainly made a huge mistake, and one at the time I thought was unforgivable. But he stood up like a man, admitted his mistake and threw it in the face of Goodell and the league. I'm still disappointed but I'm no longer angry.

Still angry forgiving is not something I'm particularly good at. He made a colossal mistake. We could have told him that and it could have been avoided. I need time.
