because you want to prove you are innocent yes?
I'm not saying there can't be something to it, don't get me wrong. It is just a little baffling why, if Brady needed to hide something, he'd destroy his phone when he was not obligated to hand it over at all.

Are his lawyers and advisers giving him sound advice? i don't like the feeling of this.Seems like a self destruct move, why destroy evidence only to appeal innocence?

very true. im as confused as you guys about why he would destroy it... but it seems to me at least, that he is somewhat guilty now. I thought it was a witch hunt the past months, but now... i cant really say that.

All I have been hearing since the wells report came out, was that "we didn't ask for his cell phone, we only wanted all pertinent text". Now all of a sudden they want his cell phone? The defamation case is snowballing. It just angers me more every fvking day

By their own statements, they said they never asked for his phone. These F'n *** holes are spinning this to the point that a 3rd grader could pick it apart.

Like maybe they copied all the text messages on the phone that were relevant, handed them to the league and figured the rest of the stuff is personal and not relevant.....

I think Wells asked for that and they wouldn't do it. There's something about this allegation that doesn't sound right, though.

It would not shock me if Brady still has the phone somewhere.

I’m amazed the leaky league office didn’t get this out there weeks ago. Through all the saber-rattling the NFLPA did threatening the league with court, the league sat on this bombshell. Only on the day the decision was to be released did one of its nut-twisters blab. And it seemed so absurd as to be easily dismissed.

Honestly, if the NFL put out a release saying to check the eastern sky for tomorrow’s sunrise, I wouldn’t believe it until I saw it.

But the denials from Brady’s agent Don Yee and the NFLPA aren’t real persuasive. A lot of strong rhetoric. A lot of redirecting on what WAS provided. But not even an attempt to explain why Brady would destroy his phone.

This, of course, is the result the NFL wanted. Drop the cell phone bomb when the appeal is upheld and all anyone will be able to talk about is the destroyed cell phone. Like “getting it out there” that 11 of 12 footballs are severely underinflated in an effort to kickstart the hysteria.

We’re all focused now on a broken cell phone. Not the Ideal Gas Law, non-logo gauges, logo gauges, the Colts equipment man sticking a needle in the ball during the game or the NFL’s media leaks throughout the process. Nobody’s talking about the fact these nitwits aren’t even entirely sure if balls were deflated, which is why the new ball protocols which will try to examine after the fact whether the league actually had evidence of ball deflation. In other words, still no body.

Nothing about this entire situation has sounded right since January 18th.

That would be worse.

Because that would mean he perjured himself under oath at his appeal hearing. Remember, he agreed to testify under oath that day.
